It really is weird how the Anon Babble drawthread is the slowest one if you don't count the obviously niche board like Anon Babble. Then again, people drawing in anime style are probably drawing gachas and vtubers nowadays.

Anon Babble's drawthread is very active. Anon Babble's not so much, since a spammer destroyed it over the course of a year.
But for an "anime website", the eastern boards drawthreads - Anon Babble, Anon Babble, Anon Babble, Anon Babble - are all slow as hell. If you look into drawthreads archived from 5-10 years ago they moved much faster, because there were alot more artists around.
For Anon Babble's legacy, this place should be boppin, but its not.
Then who knows if AI had any effect on it, since that's what AI was trained on early on - Japanese anime styled artwork.
Anon Babble western and Anon Babble furry drawthreads squeak out more activity and drawings then this place. It's just bizarre.
Then the "MS Paint draw your waifu" threads spring up and they do pretty well, so is everyone just hiding?

I should mention that Anon Babble's drawthread was one of the best up until the spammer infiltrated it around May last year. It's one of the most popular boards on Anon Babble with now the deadest tdrawhread. All because of one persons constant autism every single day.

That's a very double edged sword.
Their spam/drama and the talking from that does keep a thread bumped more often. However, if the spammer ever leaves the drawthread, it becomes very obvious how gutted its become when no one else is left posting in it.
