It be rather sudden or forced if all the girls suddenly started crying or were broken by this news considering some of them are still in denial about nuku. So how do you think this will play out? I'm thinking that he will start dating basori which will show the girls growing despair or realization. The gayest scenario would be if nuku waits to confess and then like other romcoms have done, each girl confesses to him and it's a "who so you choose?" ,situation which would obviously end with anna. It sucks because these girls are some of the best and most fun in romcom or harems so I'm in a way hoping for a harem ending but that would also be a little lame. How do you think this will play out?

I heavily doubt he will date Tiara at all. I assume he'll lead her on for a bit and then finally reject her. At that point he should have realised how he feels for Yanami, but both of them will be a pain jn the ass, so it will take them time to date. I think Lemon is a wildcard here since she is still trying to sell herself by promoting her physical appearance. I do wonder how she'll get rejected in the end. The one thing I find interesting is how the author plans to make the rejections fit the comedic focus of this series. I am unsure on how dramatic this series will really get since comedy and being over the top is like the main attraction. I don't think we can go the oregairu path where drama and angst play a big part.

For better or worse I don't think any of the rejections will be comedic. Considering how every rejection has been up to this point, it's likely going to be a brutal tear jerker as I can already picture the art in my head. I haven't kept up with rom-coms in years, so I decided to watch makeine on a whim. Honestly speaking, I felt let down by the show. For some reason, it doesn't have those doki-doki feelings that rom-coms are known for (i.e boku yaba). More like it's just a friends-zoning situationship with Nukkun. I guess I have high hopes for it since Anon Babble talked about it so much here when I'm expecting something to the level of Keima, who can be hilarious, proactive and smart, or Ayumu from Kore wa zombie desuka or OtomeMob. From what I can see, makeine have enough potential to reach the hall of fame for rom-coms but fall short because of nukkun. Even the guy himself contradicted his words and beliefs numerous times in the show, like holding himself back from accepting romance or love when there are moments where he can do so. I think I'll just keep my expectations low going forward when s2 comes.
