Would Oshi no Ko have been better if Kana died?
Oshi no Ko
It would have been better without the isekai or murder mystery parts. Just a criticism of the entertainment industry.
It would have been better without the isekai
That was fun though.
criticism of the industry
On the contrary, the series romanticize and glorify it. You would only think it's a criticism if you only ever watched the first episode.
ONK would have been better if the editor killed the author and let a random person off the street write the ending.
Ruby is so tight
キモっ
Melt...
It would've been better if Aka let Mengo cook and just turn it in to an incest idol romance.
Yes, because this shit would have been cancelled before any damage could have been done.
Mengo would've still killed Aqua, the only difference would be she'd make Ruby overhear Aqua fucking Akane and then get herself pregnant by that DA during the cosplay arc
The funny thing is, you wouldn't be wrong.
Ruby won.
Nah, she would make Aqua fuck Ruby while letting Akane watch then khs over not fucking Kana instead.
Miyazaki Ai
Unironically, yes.
Not necessarily Kana, but the danger from Hikaru and the other one didn't feel real because after Ai, the only time they went after a main character was after most of their plans and motives had already been figured out.
Someone should've been attacked earlier, and Aqua should've saved them with his medical knowledge (which felt like obvious foreshadowing, but then it ended up never happening).
Aka doesn't enough about the entertainment industry to do that.
To make myself a bit clearer. These are two different suggestions.
Someone other than Aqua dying would be better than what we got. Aqua saving someone would be better than someone dying.
Both happening to different characters could've also been good.
rubyputa should have died instead of the gay bait and switch
Aka doesn't enough about the entertainment industry to do that.
Ruby's goal is to perform at Tokyo Dome.
Kana is somehow graduating at Japan National Stadium, where only four musicians have ever done so.
I remember Japanese fans shitting on Aka for his lack of understanding of even the basic structure of the entertainment industry.
You can't do anything about a stab wound outside of a medical setting other than aplying pressure, the only way Aqua could've save anyone was by getting himself stabbed in their place
isekai
Are you retarded?
It is crazy how many fan endings are actually better than the real one, simply because the fans actually spent more than five minutes thinking about it instead of wasting a week playing Apex or whatever.
I like Akane, but in the last quarter it felt like she existed solely to cockblock the villains or be Aka's mouthpiece.
Would Oshi no Ko have been better if Kana died?
Maybe, maybe not. Hacka should have fully committed to the incest plot line, and when I say fully I mean fully. No incestbait, no ambiguity, the series from the start should have been marketed and labeled as an incest manga. He should have gotten someone like Hank or Mika Mikami or Hyji to help with developing the plot and characters, while he concentrates on fleshing out the world and the humor and background details. The final scene to end the series should have been aqua and ruby, who ran away to America to escape prosecution and scrutiny, welcoming a reincarnated Ai into the world
Inb4 that would never sell/that sounds retarded/Tokyo bill legislators won, incestcels lost
Yeah but I ask you, is it better or worse than the absolute dogshit that Aka came up with in the final few chapters? No, it's not, so shut up faggot. Incestchads, we out this bitch, fuck this gay series. Fuck the opps
Even if it was as poorly written as the real ending, an incest ending at least has novelty value. Oshi no Ko is a masterclass on how to screw up almost every single aspect of your ending AND piss off every section of the fanbase simultaneously.
Are people even reading Aka's new manga? 90% of the comments I saw about it a few weeks ago were just people commenting on how they're not going to bother reading it after how hard he bungled Kaguya and OnK.
It doesn't have to be a stabbing. That actress that only appeared in one chapter was pushed off a cliff to her death, and then Aka later had Akane pushed down a bridge (which turned out to be a random accident).
Fans wrote endings based on the whole series up until the point they were at.
Aka wrote his ending based on only the first volume.
IMO Aka chickened out of killing Akane, but was too stupid to realise he could've just broken her leg if he wanted her out of the way. Instead we got that ridiculous bit about the tiny GPS tracker with the year long battery, when the big trackers they install in company cars and such last only six months.

I agree with your post except for the last part; the GPSs that companies use to monitor their cars plugs into the OBS port, so it uses the car's power to keep it charged. I used to work at a vehicle title place, and part of my responsibility was monitoring deadbeats who put their vehicle title up as collateral on their loans. The second the GPS gets unplugged for any reason, I get on the phone with a tow truck driver and I repo their car in minutes. The GPS trackers we use can supposedly last forever if the car's engine runs and charges the internal battery every few months. If the customer just let's the car sit and decay, then it will eventually run out, so I see your point.
The second half of this manga was so dogshit.
Crow loli was snake oil from beginning to end, only working as a emergency button whenever Aka got stuck
Aqua's edgy outbursts had zero purpose and ended in nothing, while also dying in the most retarded way possible and his arc ending in "my life has no self value lmao"
Akane was just a blank page that contained everything or nothing depending on what Hacka wanted on x moment
Kana's character just stalled, going on circles till her character arc was just abandoned completely
Ruby got downgraded hard to just incestbait and most of her progress within the story was either skipped or narrated by someone else in convenient summaries rumao
Melt was the only character who got it great from beginning to end.
I want the 4 years I wasted following this series back
Aka
Isayama
Oda
The biggest hacks in the industry
Taiki was turned into a gag character.
Mem Cho was turned into the ring leader of the tertiary characters like Taiki and Frill.
I find it hard to believe that no-one in Lalalai had any inkling whatsoever about Hikaru and Airi, or that Kindachi didn't notice anything about Aqua possibly being related to Hikaru.
Kana my love!
but the danger from Hikaru and the other one didn't feel real because after Ai, the only time they went after a main character was after most of their plans and motives had already been figured out.
I think that's one of the biggest flaws of the story. Hard to create a sense of urgency if the villain is never shown to threaten the life of the main cast for 80% of the story.
The same happened with the live action, but at least that one made Aqua's death not retarded unlike the manga (and most likely the anime too)
Having the dude who pushed Akane just be some random person with no connection to Hikaru was a missed opportunity. Plus it raises questions on how violently clumsy you have to be to accidentally push someone that hard that they go flying down multiple flights of stairs.
On the one hand, I hope the anime fixes the ending (although you'd need to make changes as early as Mainstay). But on the other, I want Aka to get exposed as a hack to the anime only audience. He got lucky that Kaguya's anime adaptation stopped before the writing in that series went to shit.
None of you better even entertain the idea of watching season 3.
I know what you're thinking. Oh but im just doing it to see my girl. Oh I just want to listen to the new music. Fuck all of that. Dont give Aka the satisfaction of getting your view for any reason. Just remember how he handled your girl towards the end. That should be enough for you to stand your ground.
In my opinion, the live action handled the mainstay and scandal arcs better than the manga. iirc it made both happen at the same time while keeping Aqua a bit more like the Aqua from the first half of the story. Also Shima was outright forcing Kana rather than the "jk bro, sex is how I met people but making movies is hotter". If the anime needs to fix those arcs, they should take pointers from the live action.
My real worry is the movie arc. Fucking longer than Tokyo Blade yet emptier than a bubble
So is Akane's dad dead by the time of the main plot? The LN spinoff mentioned he was already a high ranking detective when Akane had just met Kana, so you'd think that fact would factor into the main plot in multiple ways. Instead it just seems to act as an explanation for Akane's detective/people reading plothax powers.
I skipped half the movie chapters and didn't feel like I missed a single thing.
The summaries and pages I saw felt like meaningless hype for hype's sake.
Also Ai ended a psycho who dumps her BF who blatantly needed her and forces the duty of saving him their children 15 years later instead of doing it herself (and not even saying his name on the plot device DVD btw).
Akane is so loose
pig's fault
Yeah, most of the stuff about Akane in the novel was to explain her behavior in the main story (why she copycats people, her detective skills, etc). I don't think her dad is dead, instead he was just an afterthought, like many other things that were added on the story at the last minute
How could she slap?
This but akaneputa
Akane took a child from a orphanage again…
So, according to the novel, did her father actually know that Aqua was the one who killed Kamiki?
Ruby:
I won't become like Ai Hoshino, yadda yadda
Ruby at the end:
Ai Hoshino redux
Aka:
I'll take responsibility for my work
Aka at the end:
chatGPT, do your thing
IMO Aka chickened out of killing Akane, but was too stupid to realise he could've just broken her leg if he wanted her out of the way.
Assuming people got into manga before the anime, how did they not drop it after reading this garbage?
Akane lost
Because people thought all the stupidity had a reason to exist and would pay off in the end
It didn’t
Ruby > Memcho > Akane > Kana
Because people thought all the stupidity had a reason to exist
But the author literally revealed in the very next chapter that the guy who pushed Akane down the stairs was a nobody, and it was all just an accident.
Her virginity to Wilbur
I finally read the manga to the end... and I can't even act like the opposite of the posts, it really is such a pisstake of an ending however I look at it.
Great job, author.
In the climax of Volume 1, Ai faces a shocking development. Was this something you had always planned from the beginning?
Aka: I actually came up with the idea as I was working on the serialization. The original plan was for Ai and her children to be active in the entertainment business for a longer time. But once I started drawing the manga, I realized Ai was just too overwhelming as a character for the manga.
(Her presence) was so strong that the children would have faded away?
Aka: Something like that. But as soon as I started exploring the idea of Ai leaving the entertainment industry, everything suddenly clicked. That's when I talked it over with Mengo.
Mengo: When Aka-sensei told me, the serialization had already begun, so the shift in plot was definitely surprising. But that "live" feeling really added something special.
What were they thinking?
Hacka should have fully committed to the incest plot line
inbred still believes there was "incest plotline"
inbred still believes there was "incest plotline"
Tbf, this existed.
Akane could've been killed off much earlier?
look at this unrelated manga by a different author
fucking retard inbredjeet kek
Kill yourself retard.
Akane could've been killed off much earlier?
I'm sorry, I didn't get your point.
inbredjeet who spent years in this manga hallucinating his inbredjeet fantasies he got from being turned on by his grandpa's butthole is seething that schizophrenic fantasy was a fantasy in the end
Do you think Aka originally planned to kill off Akane around the midpoint of the manga? Even Japanese readers seemed to have speculated something similar.
If mengo had written this it wouldn't have been that different besides
Kana would have fucked that producer
Aqua and ruby would have fucked several times
Akane would have had an abortion
Memcho sex scene with aqua when they were at her room
Aqua...
Hot
Memcho sex scene with aqua when they were at her room
Hot.
Akane would have had an abortion
Huh?
now that a literal God contacts Akane and follows her for years because of her love for Aqua could revive him,
I wonder will the sequel be a novel or a manga.
If Ai had been a man, she would have been remembered as one of the great scumbag characters of this era.
Ai was a sociopath
People thought things would pick up once Aqua got his black stars (despite how contrived it was). Of course, he became Kekqua instead.
But that "live" feeling really added something special
This is what killed the writing btw
If one of the heroines died because of him then him being suicidal at the end might have made some sense. As much as I like Akane the story might have been better off if she actually got stabbed.
Makes me wonder what other plot points changed along the way.
The funniest shit is that the best actress in Japan did die due to his shitty movie but since he learned of it off-screen (like almost everything in the damn manga) he paid no thought to it.
it still hurts sisters...
Nino being a villain, or even a character at all was definitely something Aka made up midway through the story while the anime was in production. She’s just a walking reference to Idol and every time the story tried to give more backstory it ended looking even more retarded.
Ichigo somehow knew everything
yet never bothered with marking Nino to the police as a person of interest
So fucking dumb
This series went into to the trash when author tried to make Ruby the focus.
That bitch is boring and has nothing going for her so plot has to be retarded for her to seem to be important.
Remmeber how good the series was without Ruby in the chapters? You retards spoke too much with constant "where's Ruby aka" well this is what you get when you add Ruby to the story.
This is why this shit turned into garbage right at chapter 80 with dogshit ruby
The only losers of this series were the readers
I still don’t get how is that Kana never got job offers after Tokyo Blade. Literally everyone involved got a work boost, and Kana even was involved in B-Komachi with a new hit shorty after.
Even more, there was no reason for her to not getting job offers since she was on her “easy to work with” mode since sweet today
The answer is Hacka needed her to be a loser to set up the scandal arc. There's no logic to it.
Rumors says that all of /onk/ are going to take classes on the Makeine school
The series is still mega kino if you weren't a retard and followed the canon ship of the story instead of delusional crackship of headcanons.
You just gotta skim through the shitby chapters and her destroying characters like Ai and being the most laughable character ever with looking at mirror conclusions.
She was muh UnpOPuLar, anon.
Do you think Akane's sudden boost in relevance is also a result of Aka making things up as he the story went on? She's the only "important" side character who wasn't interviewed in the prologue, hell a random kindergarten teacher was asked instead.
The series is still mega kino
The fact she resolved the mystery in 1 chapter should tell you enough.
Can't hate Akane when she gave us this retarded kino
I've seen people argue against the idea that Akane's role was improvised, pointing to chapter 7 where Aqua is seen reading a novel titled Jorōgumo no Kotowari. The book features a major character named Akane who allegedly plays the role of the detective's partner and ends up dying later on lmao, which some interpreted as foreshadowing by Aka.
The scene was even kept in the anime.
geee, it's almost as if all those characters who appeared in the in the interview also appeared in the prologue chapter featuring their interview...retard
Poor Aka, having these retards "read" his series.
geee it's almost like aka is the author who can write the chapter a way that still includes akane
you felt really clever typing it didn't you?
Probably making her the detective, but like everything else he fumbled the execution when writing the middle of the story.
The series is still mega kino
Not even aka or mengo believe that. You're lapping up a series they both deem to be a failure.
Why would he do that if she is supposed to be someone they don't know in the future...you brainlet.
Mengo to this day keeps jerking off Aka and how great he is for writing this series and she cannot get enough of the this series.
Aka knows he baited retards like you who jumped on crackships while he literally spelled it out to fucks using Tsurugi that he will be BAITING you retards. Aka is having the laugh of his life while wiping his genius turds with money you made for him,
Why would he do that if she is supposed to be someone they don't know in the future...you brainlet.
Anon, the interview took place right before filming started.
Retard, the characters in the interview is someone you meet in PROLOGUE chapter ITSELF.
Maybe it's time to read the series instead of wiki reading and seething at your delusional crackship not being the story?
Retard, the characters in the interview is someone you meet in PROLOGUE chapter ITSELF.
I give up. You still didn't get it lmao.
brainlet unironically thought that characters in the interview pages just happened to be there and that those chapters weren't centered about the twins meeting the characters being interviewed
fucking kek, poor Aka. These tik tok brainlets infesting his genius manga with their injeet delusions and brainlet thinking.
Go back to spamming your irrelevant background character.
Is this a lack of reading comprehension?
Looks more like a lack of meds
anon just learned about about the watsonian explanations
I want to apologize on behalf of the Akane fans.
Unironically, yes.
Before I go,
thank you for kino, Aka-sensei!
I think I dropped this series shortly after finishing the Tokyo Blade arc. Seems like I dodged a bullet.
How would you even fix this story, assuming you are in charge after the season 2 material
I skimmed through an AI translation of the LN a while back, and didn't see any mention of Papa Kurokawa in the present day. Despite this, I've repeatedly read claims that he helped cover up the truth of the Aqua/Kamiki incident.
Maybe I should ask some Japanese people?
It's already too late by the point crow loli appeared, the best you can do after that point is to follow the LA version
I dont think chapter 81 is too late at all to fix this mess.
It's telling that the best arc is the one where Ruby get sidelined.
I know there's circumstances that push things in Akane's favour, but it does make Aqua look like a retard when his girlfriend accomplishes in about a week what he had failed to do in 13 years.
That's like 10x better.
Remember how Ai didn't know that singing in the Tokyo Dome was an important and big milestone and just lmao'd at it and Ruby somehow claims that Ai's DREAM was to sing there?
people unironically think onk isn't an idol series
Remember when Miyako's dream was the Dome all along and she wasn't scum who planned to sell off info about Ai's babies?
it isn't
it's acting series
idol shit is side shit just to criticize the crazy fans
It's already too late by the point crow loli appeared
Crow loli was kino
Ruby was the shit thing
get it right
This gets overlooked because of how undercooked the ending was, but a running theme of the series is that characters have perceptions of their idols that don't line up with reality, because most of the characters don't actually understand each other.
Ruby doesn't realise Ai never gave a shit about the dome, and she had to be coached through Ai's emotions when filming the movie
Aqua killed himself to protect Ruby's career, not realising that Ruby would've sacrificed her career to keep her brother
I like the part where Ruby, Kana, and MEM are training to be idols more desu.
Actor aren't really any different from idols in the context of OnK and the Japanese entertainment industry.
