i really liked the first part of kiichi but didnt feel compelled to read the story post timeskip
It's hugely different for sure, but the manga is a social commentary first and foremost. Each era of Kiichi is him embodying a different symbol for society, which comes to its conclusion in a pretty fucked up way in Kiichi VS. If you just want crazy stuff the mangakas other big work, the world is mine, is pretty much off the wall disgusting fucked up shit nonstop, but I think Kiichi is elevated above that because there's a lot more to it. (They are both REALLY good though imo)
