S1 covered maybe the first third of the manga, S2 will likely do the second third. The manga's entire second half if pretty bad to be honest, so S2 will likely include some of the bad.

Not quite, Season 1 was front loaded with all the romance moments, there are still good things coming, but romance will become less of a focus and people liked the romance, but normies will lap it up anyway because it will have more cross-dressing.

I blame that on the change in the release schedule and how people didn't pay attention to the characters enough. The one subplot people overreacted over was Akira.
I still think people will get something from that because it features the Inui sisters.

I wouldn't blame people not paying attention. You can't introduce several new characters, put them ALL into identical costumes and expect everyone to keep track of who's who. I guess it'd be easier in anime, with proper VA, colours and all.
Akira was just a waste of what could've been interesting dynamics between characters and future development of both of them, in exchange for a gag.

How are people suppose to pay attention to the characters when everyone is dressed the same and this manga has an atrocious case of same face. It was practically impossible to keep track of who was who because everyone looked the fucking same. We even had scanlators putting guides at the start of each chapter showing who is who and it still didn't help, it was that bad. This bullshit went on for over a year.

Everyone's reactions to the Akira subplot were perfectly justified. We were endlessly teased about it and everyone was discussing what Akira's problem with Marin was. We even suffered several shitty cliff hangers that got hijacked by some other pathetic non-issue drama that no one cared about (I'm going to quit cosplaying because I'm getting old abloo bloo bloo ;_;). Reminder; this went on for over a year and all we got in the end was for the whole thing to be some random homolust gag. It was insulting to anyone who still cared about that manga.

Coffin Party served zero purpose and put the manga into a death spiral that it never recovered from. Leading for it to get axed after the Haniel arc, hence why they spent the last couple of chapters rushing through all of the major plot points before giving us an absolute wet fart of an ending.

based on traits other than their looks: Shinju being bad with horror, Akira not wanting to interact with Marin, Marin breaking character, you wouldn't be able to tell based on looks alone since they had wigs and hair color/style didn't match anyway.
