If they've been on display they're used. Obviously if the box is in good condition and you have all the parts/no obvious defects you should still price it a bit more expensive than if you had defects/missing box/missing parts

I use Xuron 410s to cut parts off the runner then GodHands to clean off the nub that's left. Works well, the godhands in particular really do cut through plastic like butter.

The Godhands are technically the best cut but they're also known to be fragile

Look up the prices on your country ebay like sites, check ebay too and the nip shops. That'll give you an idea on how to price it. In europe you can get away with high prices even for opened figures because a lot of people are clueless and don't know that importing is cheaper

Today I spent $470 for the 1/4 ryomou figure and $380 for 1/4 vermeil bunny figure. Most expensive anime figure purchase ever. Having mixed feelings and emotions over it. Even got a $115 parking ticket in jewyork because of it. 8 hours of long road trips across i-95, garden state parkway, i-78, i-278 and i-80. Taking a break consooming figures after this shit.

NTA but if you have a comic book shop near you they can probably sell you some cardboard backing and plastic covers for cheap. That's how I used to store my floppies from when I still read single-issue comics with any regularity. Back then the guy just gave them to me from his extra stock but even if they charge you I can't imagine they're expensive.

I mostly buy anime figures from either ebay/amazon and in store in my state nj. This was the first time I went on longer road trip to check out new spots out of sheer curiosity and picked NY. The sunken cost fallacy must have gotten hard into me after driving 60miles. I'm not mad or have severe buyer's remorse but do feel stupid not controlling my impulses for the get go.

Yes. If you have a high resolution resin 3D printer it works well. I got a 12k one for around $400, but it was on sale. You just have to dial in the settings and be willing to re-print parts that come out fucked up.

Your lungs will probably go before your brain. Buy a respirator mask from Home Depot and wear it tight. It's uncomfortable but it beats having emphysema from painting anime boobs. Remember, if you can smell it, the filters aren't doing their jobs. Remember to wear some kind of mask while sanding resin as well, that shit is toxic.

Specifically, resin dust is like microscopic indestructible knives that lodge inside your lungs and repeatedly kill the cells, causing them to regenerate over and over which vastly increases the chance of cancer. Lacquer fumes are fucking nothing compared to resin dust. You will get lung cancer.

Yeah that'd count. A lot of figures start as 3D models before a clay sculpture is created, and for a lot of independent creators they skip the clay model step entirely and take the 3D model directly to a 3D printer. It'll take a lot of skill and practice to get to anime figure levels of quality in either case but I suppose the biggest advantage you have with Blender is that it's free.

Easier to sculpt and fix and more manageable (clay gets dirty and hard very easy) and more difficult to lose (you cant backup clay or ctrl-z clay) but then you have to deal with printing
