Like, does this show realize it actually has Quess Paraya as its ostensible main character? This is an effect of war, it happens in real life, people who really like soldiering frequently become mercenaries when formal militaries won't let them go out anymore and then only stop when they die or become absolutely physically unable.
Shiiko was damaged in the war in a way she could never truly get over and so jumped back in to try and resolve a trauma the first chance she got.

Kycillia disagrees, but that's what Nyaan thought, because that's what Nyaan felt.
