Tatari chapter 73: Match-up
A little flashback to before the invasion. Konya's maid reveals that she stuck a needle in Orgard during the amusement park battle.

She heard Teidar say that Iisha wanted them alive. Thus, even if Beriko got captured, there would still be a chance to rescue him as long as they could find out where they had taken him.

Orgard was none the wiser. Abe explains that the principle is the same as the little paper shikigami he's used on Tatari before: Stick one half of a pair on the target, and the other half will point you to them. Beriko asks why she didn't tell them right away.

Konya intuits that she was worried about Beriko. He'd rush headlong into the enemy if he were to learn where they are, and most likely just get beaten again.

However, she apologizes for not telling them. She was afraid of losing Beriko, but says that she believes in him, and will be waiting for him to come back victorious.

Back to the present, Beriko is holding on to the counterpart needle. Orgard is taking action to protect Teidar, but someone from behind calls him a dumbass for not even noticing that he'd been stabbed with a needle.

Beriko's not planning on losing a second time!

Meanwhile, at the food storage, what used to be Beruta is swearing that he'll kill Aoi if he ever sees her again.

Tatari is, however, genuinely thankful for all the help they've given him until now. The crow says it was mostly thanks to the older brother, who's apparently been very fervent in trying to help Tatari out.

I don't think there's a good way to explain how bad it is to people who don't know the series.
Some really popular characters introduced later in the series (including the tan one, who Conan met for the first time in the series and talked to a hundred times) that push a lot of money got retconned into actually meeting Shinichi and Ran during their childhood, and even get involved in a whole case together. Also the entire reason Ran remembers this happened is because she randomly sees a water faucet leak and Conan holding a soccer ball because one of the gang plugged a leak with a tennis ball in this flashback. It's embarrassingly forced and is pure, unfiltered selling out. This is also the first time Shinichi and Ran's relationship has really been shown in almost a decade, just for this.

If you think you've seen a series jump the shark, you need to learn about what DC has been doing to keep itself alive.

Because it goes against the actual story they're telling. Conan met Amuro in the series normally and dealt with him over time. Then the creator just decides nah they knew each other since childhood, no one remembered until the characters became extremely popular, got a spinoff, and now it's a new continuity. A sliding timeline is just par for the course for long runners, but this is an actual retcon that shows they don't care about their own story anymore and are just selling out.

I think it's lame that the only way Gosho knows to keep this series going anymore is by just constantly retconning everything to find something new to write. Coincidentally all of them are just for the new characters who sell billions too, nothing that even focuses on the main characters anymore outside of "they're there because main character is POV."

They've been together since the school trip but we've only been told they've talked a lot since then and it didn't mean anything. But we get an entire case that lil shinichi and ran had a case with the academy gang out of nowhere because fujomoney is more important than a cohesive storyline.

Anyone who cared about the show hopped off years ago when it first became fucked. By then the only characters who existed in that picture were Shinichi, Ran, Amuro, and Matsuda. But Matsuda wasn't even related to Amuro yet, and that doesn't excuse "why is the gf small too?" as if they couldn't at least guess it might be a flashback. That could've been an assumption by realizing it wouldn't make sense for Amuro to be there and it'd be more likely Ran shrunk in the present day, but considering repliers doesn't get why Amuro being in this flashback is a shark jump moment, it's just ignorance in general.
