Whats not spoken about enough was how Gakuto was locked in for a 3P. Hiromoto created a whole new character for Gakuto and Mitsuko to give advice on the topic of sex and was very adamant of giving practical experience for them.
A super slut with a heart of gold, as he Hiromoto wrote it.

Now that he's sold his soul and completely abandoned Me and The Devil Blues he should at least have dignity in his coomerism and start a Prison School sequel desu.

The rumor is that he became frustrated with the success of the series after his last, more serious, didn't do well financially. Supposedly Prison School was meant to be a throwaway gag but performed incredibly well and he just got tired of it. People say he ended it the way it did out of spite. I don't know if that's true - but the "epilogue" certainly feels spiteful.
He did a 6 volume work after and is currently doing the art but not the writing for another series.
I am on hands and knees. Or at least another fun project

Can someone spoil to me why the ending sucked? I got far in the manga but lost interest after anons started doomposting. Around the part with the chinese girl appearing.

I thought so at first but it made sense, Kiyoshi was a fucking retard who didn't deserve such good friends and earned what happened to him. He was fixated on Chiyo despite their relationship being built on lies and obfuscation and in the end it deservedly blew up in his face.
Chiyo turning into a man hating bitch is the problem but it's also logical. Again, Kiyoshi is to blame.

I dunno. I was following a gender swap manga he was doing but looks like half way through he stopped and worked on something else thats less gay. looks like either people are still upset with him or his ideas are not hitting an audience. At least at one point he was doing a crossdressing manga to a gender swap. hmmm..

Basically, after the boys save themselves from expulsion, they each start to befriend and romance girls who like them for who they are. They introduce the "above ground" student council, who decide to punish the "underground" student council and imprison Mari, Meiko, and Hana. Similar hijinks ensue with Hana being released and Kiyoshi going back to jail trying to protect the underground girls.

Kiyoshi has more romantic encounters with Mari, Chiyo, and Hana and a bit of a love triangle forms. Meiko has a regression to a child like state and becomes incredibly modest. With another elaborate scheme, Mari breaks out of jail by romancing her rival from the above ground council and films them naked together as insurance.

They decide to settle the score on field day and the above ground and below ground council duke it out in the events. Hana and Kiyoshi have another encounter where they 69 as Hana decides to try and pee on Kiyoshi and reverse. They almost get fully intimate when they get walked in on and have to hide. Hana ends up pissing on Kiyoshi and making out with him sending him into a spiral.

They play a very long (like 40 chapter) long game of cavalry (and this is probably the worst part of the arc) with Kiyoshi, Meiko, Hana, and Mari on a team against the underground council. It ends in a draw and the chairman crashes a helicopter in the prison, destroying it.

After all this confrontation, Kiyoshi decides he will confess his love to Chiyo and confides in Hana who starts to have a breakdown as he realizes she loves him.

Hana, Chiyo, and Kiyoshi have a confrontation and Hana and Kiyoshi explain everything that happened between them to Chiyo. Chiyo decides despite it all she likes Kiyoshi and will give him a chance - when Hana forces him over, makes him reveal that he is wearing her panties, and then pisses himself covering himself and Hana.

Last shot is boys back in prison and Chiyo as new manhating student council president.

Yeah, I have nothing to verify or add credibility other than my own feelings on how minimal the epilogue is. I wasn't reading when it was being released so may not be true at all. Certainly seems like it's happened many times in the industry, though.
Yeah, I think a lot of people just felt like everything always had a positive upswing and we were on the verge of getting happy, romantic endings for the cast and they ended up seemingly right back where they started, if not a little worse off. It's not fair to say they didn't develop, but Chiyo became a manhater and Kiyoshi seemingly didn't get to be with Hana.
