Why is there still no 40k anime...

Why is there still no 40k anime? With the recent success of Space Marine 2 GW should at least explore the possibility. Doesn't even have to be a full series, something like star wars visions would work. Give me your reasons for / against this idea.

This thread is gonna get janny'd almost immediately but I will say that is is a little strange seeing as how 40k is popular enough in Japan to warrant them getting unique model releases and kits so it is a little strange. I assume it's a combination of retarded boomers that run the company and the whole Warhammer+ thing getting in the way of licensing rights.

It's cringe

Shut up fag

okay but turn everyone into little girls first

T'au T'itties

This or little boys.

They'd be stupid to not have the weeb faction be the main characters in an anime.

Warhammer 40.000 Astartes has shown how you make animated series, anime would just be gringe

Tau don't look like that at all canonically. We don't even know if they have tits in universe.

UM ACTUALLY

No shit you fucking retard. Everyone knows that. Doesn't stop people from drawing them that way.

Wh40 is the definition of cringe though.

GW are pretty dumb in general, 40K could have been way bigger by now if they had any decent movies/shows/games out there but there's no quality control. Their entire universe is huge but everything is about space marines too.

In fanart, no, but in officially licenced products, like a hypothetical anime, the tau wouldn't be blue skinned anime babes, they'd be the wrinkly ayylmaos GW has always depicted them as, you retard.

40k is a franchise that oozes with testoterone and the average japanese otaku is the antithesis of every single thing a man of respect should aim to be and that is reflected heavily on the MCs.

why

Because corporate execs are all cretins. Thats the main reason.

the Amazon series is in development hell because they wanted to make it pozzed globohomo crap but Henry Cavill is fighting adamantly against that to keep the essence of the franchise intact.

Just because they're nerds, doesn't mean they don't have their own set of tryhardism and elitism.

The Emperor of Shotakind

Imagine

aren't T'au like 5'5" on average and have hollow bones like birds? I don't think they can even survive intercourse with a human

They should have worked with one of the best anime studios instead, they'd still be pretty cheap and there's plenty of stories to choose from.
Things doesn't have to cost as much as Arcane to get attention from normal people. I swear most companies are run by old people who have no idea what younger people want to see.

No, big girls.

Back in the day maybe. Now it's trannyshit. And back in the day I would take Hokuto no Ken over 40k all the time.

I was thinking about that. Back in the mid 2000s, a lot of the forums that liked warhammer used to dislike anime.

Why though? Any martial arts series will always be a thousand times more manly and noble than this neckbeard's fantasy. The only great thing in 40K are the aesthetics of each faction. It's obvious that they're first and foremost in to sell miniatures and they indeed make cool miniatures.

If they do make one then I hope they adapt the Horus Heresy.

Ciaphas Cain anime would be very popular but we live in the wrong timeline.

Not anymore, the amount of Anime x 40k shit I've seen in the last decade has been rising with each year

the Horus Heresy

Yes please. I want to see the Primarch in action

It's obvious that they're first and foremost in to sell miniatures and they indeed make cool miniatures.

Isn't that what Gundam and Cure does these days? Sell toys?
A Build Fighters for 40k or tabletop war games should be an interesting idea.

40k is popular enough in Japan

It is? I never saw anything that indicate that

Isn't that what Gundam and Cure does these days? Sell toys?

Maybe I don't know I've never watched Gundam (only had an Epyon figurine), and don't even know what "Cure" is.
What I meant is that that miniature design is the only competent aspect, all the fluff is complete garbage that fluctuates in tone as time goes.

Franchise TV and movies have killed pretty much every Anon Babble related company that's tried them. It will kill again.
Anyway Black Library's output is already poor enough without trying to feed it though a language, culture, and aesthetic barrier to make it anime.
Also this is the only 40k reference I've ever seen in anime.

What drives "artists" to make "fanart" that completely goes against the atmosphere of a universe only to force their fetishes in it ? At this point the guy could've simply drawn a non-descript muscle woman, even an alien one, but why the Tau mark?

Because fuck you that’s why

You can find a bunch of 40k stuff on sites like Mandarake; it's not Gundam but it's also not some tiny niche thing that only 5 people care about. They get proper Japanese language codex releases, too, which is notable when you realize they only release in 7 languages and don't even cover most of Europe.

What drives spergs like you to piss and shit your pants about it? It doesn't affect you in any way and GW sure as hell isn't making anything even remotely fuckable in terms of models. It has no bearing on the actual product, calm down.

according to Anon Babble anecdotes Japan and Korea has a growing scene and there's more than a few dedicated stores to just Warhammer in addition to LGS in big cities. But wargames over there are smaller overall

We already had.
Its unfortunately Hammer and Bolter, and its half kino half dogshit.
Still, a series about Ciaphas Cain would be amazing if done right, and there is enough material to adapt between 2-3 seasons easely.
The only issues i have is that whter it should be adapted chronologically (starting with the short stories) or by book release order (starting in For the Emperor with Cain already having some experience and knowing well Jurgen).
If done by book release, it might be confusing because Cain would look old while in some arcs he isn't.
If we go by shortstories first, it might not have the same impact.

Not surprising, who the hell in Poland or Chekoslovakia could afford such expensive figurines.

Slavs are buying from recasters. Russia ADORES 40k, but I doubt any ruskie has ever been in an official GW store to buy paint for $20 a pot.

piss and shit your pants

Lmao no such thing. You're projecting.

It doesn't affect you in any way and it has no bearing on the actual product, calm down.

I just find it weird like those hentai mods for Darkest Dungeon. What's the point? Literally what is the point? At this point it's so far removed from the original work they might as well draw a hamburger stand and call it their version of the Necron monolith.

I think the part of the lore that the corpse emperor literally requires thousands of psykers to die each day to survive is pretty cool, as well as those Mechanicus cultists who unlike David don't give a fuck and replace all the things with machinery.

Not surprising, explains the lack of translations.

Yeah, I can see how well a garbage isekai in the W40k universe would go with a female harem of orks, Eldar and Tau. Or portraying Slaneesh as an Astlofo ripoff.

It seems that you have autism.

Yeah sure faggot.

Has any anime based on a Western IP been a success? I can think of Halo, Starship Troopers, Suicide Squad Isekai, Marvel Anime and Cyberpunk and only CP did even half way to do doing well.
