WHATS YOUR EXCUSE NOW?
WHATS YOUR EXCUSE NOW?
Seven Seas is woke. They butchered the translation for Mushoku Tensei multiple times.
Honestly, a better license than any novel JNC announced this year. It's funny how Seven Seas hardly license any light novels but when they do, they have some decent choices. Makeine was another good one.
Why does seven seas always have one good announcement while all their other announcements are romance shit
while all their other announcements are romance shit
That's the shit that sells to casuals that actually makes money. That's why they're announcing so many BL series lately. Actual good series rarely ever sell.
Wasn't this caught up in licensing hell? Guess they threw some of the danmei money at it
I own the first three that Tokyopop did, guess now I can get it finished.
7S coming in with a mic drop moment on a casual Wednesday. Would've expected this to be held for AX.
Honestly, a better license than any novel JNC announced this year.
7S and YP been dunking on JNC all year. Did JNC announce even one half decent LN this year? JNCs just licensing trash at this point for low IQ readers.
QRD?
I was just thinking about watching the anime
In their defence, they did reprint it uncensored after the backlash.
Still terrible practice to do it at all, but you should never punish a company for listening to fans
Twelve kingdoms were buried in lincese hell
Either, It's an extremely good series but without official releases, some haven't read it despite the fanTL. No excuse now.
Or that some publishers have claimed this was unlicensable for a variety of factors (changing publishers, weird licensing agreements, impossible to translate without pages of notes). No excuse now, if SS could make this happen then practically anything could happen.
Really hyped, BUT before I commit....
Is this series finished in Japan?
Has SSeas abandoned any of their series before?
Who will translate it? IIRC; Katrina has """""Translated"""""" several SSeas books before.
Finished
Lol no
Translator
Canipa
Finished
Lol no
Oh, so another Berserk / Vagabond / GoT case? Pass then. Happy with the anime version.
This shit is for girls. And we have a real Isekai for men. Mushoku Tensei.
I'm not that into fantasy--I'll read some but I prefer real world slice of life or romantic comedies.
Makeine was another good one.
I bought the first two volumes already. I'd love it if they would license more like Makeine.
Hiatus
No
It came back long ago, still on going. Last new volume was released 2019
This shit is for girls.
That's how you know it's a good isekai.
Shoujo isekai are great tho
An actual good LN license. I'm shocked.
buy
The creator has mental health problems.
Isn't this poplar over there, should I read it
Atleast she didnt turned into a cult leader like Glass mask author
Watch the anime first
Glass mask author is a cult leader
Like scientology?
The anime is a rather loose adaptation of the books.
Affirmative
Lol
What the fuck are you on about? 7S quality doesn't magically improve because it panders to the gays or browns.
request Ghost Hunt novels every month for some years
get Twelve Kingdoms instead
I guess that's fair.
I just want Zettai Karen Children manga, pls.
12 million in circulation as of 2020. It was a big enough thing that some TV news stations in Japan reported on the new volumes in 2019. Some other authors have also spoken highly of it, Miya Kazuki mentioned it was one of the foundational works that inspired Bookworm.
If this sells well then I wouldn’t be surprised if they go back for the authors other works, including Ghost Hunt and Shiki.
sorry we made a conscious decision to fuck over our customers and give them a worse product.... we promise not to do it again :3
isn't JNC just another arm of kadokawa like YP? Makes sense they'd concentrate their best ip on one of them
JNC is part of Kadokawa and Yen Press gets priority with Kadokawa’s licenses. But even then, JNC is still licensing shit. Kadokawa and non Kadokawa companies still have a bunch of worthwhile stuff unlicensed they could go for.
If it sells decently then they probably will.
