Why is nu-Anon Babble so fucking ironic? Why can't you guys be honest for once?

Full of xitter tourists. You can tell because literally the same pictures that go trendy on X get reposted here right after with a bait attached. Honest posters (except me) are long gone.
There's no believable way that Sento, someone who claims to be from a military family yet doesn't even know how to give basic hygiene and maintenance orders for the park, knew the exact solution to mitigate the pump breaking in the storm. She likely spent the prior night thinking of a way to sabotage the pump and then offer a "solution" to make herself look better as the park was increasingly proving she was incompetent.
Honest about what?
Everyone is too scared of being judged online, even on anonymous imageboards.
Because this place is now full of zoomers who are also ironic weebs
a-anon >////<
your screencap could use more buzzwords, I can still understand some of it
I'm always honest. Romcoms, SoL and Mecha series will always be my favorite genre(s). I don't have the time or patience to waste on some series where the depth of characters begin and end with
tch...this guy
I don't like him and he's strong
I will now...punch even harder
But now I must go. I have to finish my annual rewatch of Working!!
don't expect any genuine response online
Back in the good old days you could actually have a proper conversation about things you liked with like-minded people online.
why is Anon Babble is ironic?
Welcome to 202X internet, the fun times are sadly over thanks to smartphones letting every mentally retarded minor under the sun access the internet.
Back in the good old days people actually liked the things they liked rather than just trying to fit into a online clique.
I won't tell you where the happy threads are because they are best being ignored and kept small
The constant negativity dosen't help
You are lying. They don't exist. People don't like things anymore. It's impossible in modern society.
Eternal September started way before smartphones became a thing
Tell me about it. All comes down to a FUCK TON of outsiders starting to talk shit without adapting, much less giving a fuck to bother to fit in. Come on, talk shit and/or annoy people being an LE EBIN TROLL, then leave or repeat.
I'm always honest--whether anonymous or named.
Nope, my favorite daily and storytime are full of people, new and old readers, enjoying reading and discussing a classic manga, enjoying the new chapter TLs when they come out, with positivity, funposting, and OC

Hey we have one of those in the Oshi no Ko daily thread for about an hour every day until it goes to shit.

At least no one here determines what they like or will watch based on MAL ratings... right?
People don't like things anymore. It's impossible in modern society.
I love trees--especially blackgum and tulip popular, birds--especially hawks--childhood friends, crying while watching emotionally moving anime, and imouto. Life is great!
Will all of them just stand in complete silence and look at each other?

How can you say this when smartphones exist
daily thread
One of the worst things about Anon Babble in my eyes, besides the usual bullshit that all of Anon Babble is riddled with. No natural flows to things at all, constant ritual/thread spamming when there is hardly anything to talk about after a while, akin to the problems places like Anon Babble has.
How can you say this when smartphones exist
I don't follow your logic... what are you doing with your smart phone?
Smartphones rendered the whole humanity unable to express their honest thoughts. They are the ultimate evil.

Maybe because I predate smartphones but I disagree. You might like "Amusing ourselves to death" by neil postman though,
Find a small thread for a seasonal or old anime and make some OC, you'll get some good feedback
Eternal September
Is that place even still active these days? I figure it died by the time YouTube arrived.
I'm more of a Roger Waters kinda guy
nta but smartphones did cause another massive wave of internet users.
It's the logical conclusion of anonymous message boards. We're all here speaking into the void to fish for attention and engagement at the end of the day. Why go through the trouble of being sincere when you can farm (You)s more easily with shitposts and bad faith arguments?
Ignoring the chain of posts, regarding that book I can't see why someone pre website should really match/matter to what could be judged say 2001. Arcade, net piracy, etc have plenty he didn't witness, including moon fandom.
Truth is timeless. But so is rejecting the wisdom of the past to relearn its mistakes.
no vanilla
....
I'm not rejecting everything. But there is pointlessness trying to sift through things related to 1985(by a ~60 yr old) not applicable to people now or expecting someone like moot to not potentially label it as a fair waste of time. Book aside and after it, looks like he hated PC software and wanted the world to stay away from it, which is amusing.
First part sounds like based Schaudenfreude though
No idea what you're talking about. When I say VEG is objectively better than your favorite anime in every way, I mean it. Your frustration is irrelevant.
Maybe it's the way people approach anime these days? 15 years ago when it was still niche you had to put in the work to find anime and struggle to understand it in spite of its cultural differences, so you ended up with people who genuinely learned to like it. Now it's mainstream and everywhere so everyone is exposed to it without getting filtered, and they compartmentalise it with irony in order to accept it (because it's omnipresent) instead of learning to like it which would require more effort than they care to put in.
Eimu's too hot-blooded for this room
