Holy shit this bitch is so annoying

Holy shit this bitch is so annoying.
No wonder anyone outside of twitards stopped caring about the show.

So these two were gay, right?

Nigga

nah, she cute.
Miorine is annoying and for entire S2 she was being a bitch for no reason at all.

Guel won

I'll take that as a yes.

It was a poor attempt at trying to make a gundam show to appeal to subhumans, of course every character is going to be poorly written.

It's kinda weird how Gundam is still a major franchise when there hasn't been a truly good one in 15 years

Bobbros

Stopped caring so much that you decided to watch the show today, I'm sure.

Kinda, watched ep0 and got interested, then ep1 just got me very annoyed at her squirmy ass

she killed gundam

SEIEI NO

But enough about Wing

she's ugly too

Big pineapple and the flexible autist

What impressively bad taste!

I liked ChuChu and Nika.

tranime

Both are horribly wasted characters. Chuchu was a walking Utena reference (and nothing more than that) and Nika was so underused the writers decided abusing her for a half dozen episodes, locking her in a basement for three, and then imprisoning her with a dyke haircut was a good use for her. Thanks, Bandai.

Poor thing is still coping about this show.

So you just watched her smack a guy's ass, trash his ride, and steal his wife and had to come here in a huff about how annoying she is? Because that's one of her finer moments.

Yes, I wish they'd used the characters better.

The show is annoyingly misandrist. Female protagonists doesn't have to mean all the men are weak and worthless, but nobody informed the writers.

Bob and Lauda are the only good thing from this show I remember.

Men are worthless, why shouldn't they be in fiction too?

Remember when we thought Nika being a spy and a traitor was going to have some dramatic, exciting consequences, and then nothing fucking happened?

She basically didn't do anything. She really had the easiest job of any Gundam protagonist, all of the stuff came to her.

I agree everything was handed to her but she did a lot. Too much. She won every single fight no matter how hyped up her opponent or opponent's mech was, so fucking boring.

This is basically due to the fact that the series was aimed at a female audience. It's fundamentally different from a lot of Gundam shows, in that there isn't even a war, really.
The show's main draw was the lesbian romance, so nothing TOO horrible could happen. Look at how it played out, even the final antagonist wasn't trying to kill Suletta, every conflict is resolved without catastrophe.
Compare that to Iron-Blood Orphans or the other AUs, plenty of shows had plenty of the cast dying or some tragedy happening at the end. Sure, it wasn't all bad, but you had a lot of casualties along the way.
Here, there was a visible effort to 'tone things down' for the girls.

This is because the Ariel is one of the most absurdly powerful Gundams in the franchise. I point out that Funnels / Bits are usually a weapon reserved for the enemy, because they're extremely powerful and have the visual symbolism of the hero being outnumbered. It's almost always a powerful Newtype-equivalent who uses it, which forces the protagonist to desperately dodge, weave and take evasive action in order to survive.
Usually, when the protagonist gets Funnels, it means he's completed his character arc and is ready for the final confrontation. But Suletta starts with Funnels AND a force-field, which means that she's already maxed-out from the beginning.
Even the Unicorn only got Funnels at the end, when Banagher became Jesus, and it was strictly his floating shields.

I guess, but a lot of shows with female protagonists still give men something to do. Especially when it's yumejo themed so the men have to be competent and dangerous for the attraction factor. Yona is one I can think of, offhand. If anything, WFM is arguably geared more towards men that just want to see Uguu Am I Cute moe lesbian girls and feel actively threatened by other men.

I was hoping for fatso to do something but I can't even remember if he did.

My point still stands, because that was just a mook. No-one cares about the death of mooks, it's even patched up in the seasonal jump and no-one thinks about it again.
No, what gets people upset is cruelty on a personal level, like (to use a recent example) Lafter losing most of her family, then getting shot in the face repeatedly.
That kind of stuff is more upsetting.

If anything, WFM is arguably geared more towards men that just want to see Uguu Am I Cute moe lesbian girls and feel actively threatened by other men.

Again, you have to keep in mind the intended audience. The yuri romance had to take center stage, so everything else was subordinate to it. Hopefully there'll be a pivot now things have changed.

What about the terrorist mesugaki? Sure you might argue they were forgettable and it wasn't done well, but so was Lafter's death.

this show had so much potential. crazy how they just threw it all down the drain

His life is certainly a lot more fulfilling and he's a lot more honest with himself, too.

WfM main audience are men in Japan

The terrorist girl basically made herself SO evil she had to die. Like, sure, her death may be a little sad...But it's a justifiable death, because she'd already gone on her second school-shooting. It's the classic "Crazed Newtype goes on a rampage and is put down" that recurs quite a bit in the franchise.
What is surprising is that Elan didn't die or do anything. I fully expected him to fight the original Elan in a final battle, and for them to mutually annihilate.

ITT: anons angry their headcanons didn't come true.
Also samefagging.

This is basically due to the fact that the series was aimed at a female audience.

The franchise has been aimed at a female audience since 1979

Elan was so wasted. All of them.

Episode 15 and its consequences was a disaster for the series as a whole.

Why? That was a great episode!

duh

it's even patched up in the seasonal jump and no-one thinks about it again

But this was the entire reason Milone went to Suletta's mother in the first place and to stop trusting Suletta so much.

She didn't 'stop trusting Suletta so much', she simply realized Suletta's mom was pulling the strings. Suletta had no agency of her own.
You talk to the handler, not the monkey.

All while constantly cry-speaking and stuttering her words

I have watched Zeta Gundam maybe 3 times and I haven't seen G-Witch once. My question is should I watch Zeta again?

camillu3.jpg - 557x425, 26.57K

In all honesty, I don't like Zeta much. On paper it's a great story, but it's a very janky show.

I love the characters, but I have also taken a college class in Russian Literature and liked that shit too.

Still

I just watched it for the first time.

Char is for little girls, not women.

personas y tecnología (30).png

Is this your first Gundam?

False. He cuckqueaned her for Nanai.

Tomino.jpg - 815x376, 69.26K

Who is the biggest cuck in Gundam and why is it Hayato?

I've watched Wing, G and MSG. To be fair I also got very annoyed at Relena.

I'd call it wasted potential but the latest Armored Core game basically took the entire premise of the WFM-verse and made a better story with it. Will not be missed.

idk that was the default name from image search

She did both, she avoided Suletta for a large part of the second season

Holy shit this bitch is so annoying.

She's my favorite Gundam mc, you watch your mouth

I personally liked the tanuki.its minorine I couldn't stand.

She and her wife are hot.

image (1).jpg - 1700x1202, 412.03K

To add I even brought a figgie of her and then removed her hands to make a custom suletta that can wield various tacticute firearms (it's the only figurine I own)

I love Gundam but G-Witch actually makes me mad at how mediocre it is and how much people love it. Its like Disney World or some shit. Have some fucking standards.

cour 1 was 10/10.

Who built your house? Who operates the electricity plant producing your electricity? Who grew your food? Who shipped your food to you? Who invented the technology that you use every day?

When something has a good start and premise its hard for people to turn on it, even if it flies into a complete train-wreck of an ending. (See AOT) The first cour was legitimately good and got people attached to the show, so the later half didn't dissuade them. If anything it just fueled "lost potential" rant posting instead.
