Upon looking back on the manga, whilst Gerard's fight is had a very unsatisfying conclusion, ive realized Urahara vs Askin was a more unsatisfying fight overall. Urahara actually barely fought, it was mostly Yoruichi who was in the action and did her job to push Askin that far in. Despite also the buildup and similarities it was shaping up to the previous fights, there was no really moving flashback or revelations going on unless you got really moved that Yoruichi as a mindless cat is open to cuddling with Urahara. The end is also just a repeat of the Quilge, where Urahara was actually losing but got bailed by Grimmjow showing up.
