huh seems there is, weird

Because there's a lot of manga and it's more accessible than ever. Like it takes 2 seconds to download a reader and get free manga the second it comes out forever.

Even high quality raws are easy to obtain nowadays.

Anons learned to read.

Lack of a mega hit anime or trainwreck that were pretty common 10 year ego

There's currently 32 dump threads. Maybe more.

they're the only sanctuary from the cancer that killed Anon Babble

Well now that you mention it

Anime adaptation is really slow, even WSJ stuff.
People are flocking to source material and manga is simply the easiest one to get into.

Reading is better than watching anyway.

anime has consistently declined in quality since the switch to digital while manga is mostly unaffected

ive always prefered manga over anime so i dont mind this

Because the quality of seasonal slop is buried so deep in the trashcan that people rather read manga. I can't even remember the last time there was more than 2 watchable anime in a season.

Its been sometime since I saw hentai Tom Cruise.

There's a lot of threads, but hardly any posts outside of generals/dump threads. Traffic has fallen so hard, I can even recognize some of the few anons still here.

I think zoomers just have more infinitely scrolling manga sites now on bigger phones than ever which ironically have made them more patrician and literate than pleb horizontal desktop anime loving Anon Babble, plus you can speedread a manga chapter easier than watch a sped up chipmunk anime episode.

Personally I don't have space or time to spend watching a full series nowadays, manga it's just much easier to consume at any pace. Also it's easier to skip unimportant and/or uninteresting parts.

Yeah, the last big "watch it with Anon Babble" series was 6 years ago. I'm still shocked we haven't had a big original series since.

Anime isn't as enjoyable the same way as it was in the past, and increase in appreciation of manga as a whole

Objectively speaking
anime originals > manga originals > anime adaptions

Anime originals have become less and less, and anime adapations have become even more cheap and shoddy. Manga are still pretty much the same. The serialized nature of manga is still really shitty, and only incentivizes mangaka to not end their work and drag it on indefinitely which leads to shitty endings, bloated casts of halfassed characters, and dropped plotlines.

I don't remember anything big coming out in 2018

even if an amazing new anime original just as exciting and funny and unpredictable as gurren lagann or code geass came out now, rather than be something Anon Babble rallied around the threads would just be cancerbombed by trolls that would attempt to -and succed at- giving the fans of that anime the reputation of being a hoard of obnoxious gibbering retards that do nothing but spam AIslop interracial porn and NTR greentexts

Anime is just CGIslop these days.

download a reader

lmfao are you reading in a cave?

Yes

What? There's so many manga that're incredible, I like original anime but c'mon now.

It's just the nature of serialized media. Every manga that is good is good in spite of being serialized, never because it's serialized.

manga is better in most cases

because zoomers or phones or something I dunno
It's bad

seethe about anime out of nowhere

CHADnime? Mindbroke you.

plus you can speedread a manga chapter

holy shit, Anon Babble is dead

slopslopslop

You faggots should be permabanned from the internet. Literal botposts are smarter.

I should read Under Ninja. The show was basically cromartie but IFD films.

They are as obsolete as the cancerous generals. Story times used to be a special occasions, now they are nothing more than reactionary generals. Even the people are the same, trying to enforce Anon Babble tier rules and treating other anime images as "off-topic". Riddickulous.

download a reader

bro just open mangadex

Even the people are the same, trying to enforce Anon Babble tier rules and treating other anime images as "off-topic".

Half of daily threads are people bumping with images unrelated to manga being dumped. It's a circlejerk, yes, but other kind

But I can just install the mangadex extension as well as 100 other extensions, export my library between sites, and refresh them at the touch of a button.

Anon Babble Anon Babbleverage Anon Babblege changed

90% of them are for trash shounen, stupid twitter manga or retarded romcoms though.

Well it's the opposite, the vast vast vast majority of manga wouldn't get made otherwise, at least to the length and to the high standards of a great story.

Anon, anime images are allowed as in literally any thread, they just don't want them as the pages are being posted

Do you see a value judgment retard?

stop avatrfagging

replying to a DBZspic

anime is for boys
men read manga

If you don't download your manga and archive it you are a subhuman reddshit normalfag.

Reading on a phone is for newfags, a tablet is far better and you still need an app to scrape your shit from various sites, download it for reading, and then you transfer it to your PC for archiving.

at least to the length

There's no reason something like SnK or Claymore needed to drag on for 12+ years and 30+ volumes. It was to their detriment that they lasted as long as they did. Any manga that is good overall package is usually very concise which against the nature serializations that doesn't want manga to end as long as its popular.

Most of them are discussionless dump threads though.

Stop making retarded posts

Unless it's simulpub, dumping manga you didn't help is stolen valor.

don't you remember when they where almost dozen concurrent threads during edgerunners?

The vast majority of manga don't get stretched though, and you're just grasping for examples that do. Sure, they exist but you're exaggerating far too much. Not every manga is some big shonen manga y'know?

It's not grasping at all, and stuff like Claymore isn't shounen you fucking retard

Every single anime adaptation is isekai so people have gotta go underground for anything different.

Do you have any idea what avatarfagging means?

I came to this thread expecting people to share my opinion.
But upon impatiently skimming through the thread, I find that most of you have completely different ideas. Now I feel unhappy.

You guys owe me an apology.

Did I say it was?

You didn't even state your opinion

I'm sorry you don't like ANY of the manga dumped daily on Anon Babble or that your taste in anime is just that bad.

The board is becoming enlightened, a mangachad renaissance.

That wasn't Anon Babble, that was a reddit raid

With 2/3 of each season being shitty isekai adaptions no wonder people are turning to better material

You're using the Anon Babble term for a period when Anon Babble didn't use it you absurd roleplaying faggot.

No honor among anonymous, silly bitch.

Tom Cruise as in a manga?

It wasn't like this 10 years ago.

You can pessimistically say it's because seasonal anime have gotten less interesting and more formulaic than ever to veteran anime watchers, so people would rather just talk about manga or source material (there's also 100x more Light Novel discussion, which barely existed a decade ago)
Or you can optimistically say it's because people are actually reading more instead of just passively accepting whatever shit 4Kids and Crunchyroll throw at them and demand they consoom

kino supply ran dry

90% of non-axed series are stretched far more than they should, regardless of magazine. Even if a romcom series doesn't have 200 chapters, if it ends at #75 when it only made sense to end at #50, that still counts as dragging.

manga website

Daily chapter dumps are gay as fuck and complete degradation of the good old storytiming.

And yet ironically, manga generals are way dumber and more obnoxious than anime threads on average now.
A consequence of trying to force discussion that never stops. Anime threads come and go and never stick around long enough to become too cancerous, but since ongoing manga never stop, neither do their threads, and the quality degrades endlessly until the posters become a bunch of screeching monkeys.

Yeah, he gets into some wacky situations

[012661].jpg - 504x459, 66.34K

this is only true for shounen and other weekly releases, most monthly releases get threads once a month and don't stick around long after, and as a result the slow creep into cancerous shitposting never sets in

manga thread

somewhat civil discussion most of the time

manga gets adapted to anime

suddenly every single thread becomes an unusable mess of pure shitposting diarrhea

Boy, I sure wonder why anons would rather talk about manga than anime in this shitty board. It's such a mystery.

Why Tom Cruise did that with his daughter?

cry more faggot

Remember when manga was amateur English/Spanish scanlations of amateur Chinese scanlations of 500-700px jpgs, then be amazed and happy at the wealth and quality we have today.

IMG_5443.jpg - 225x225, 17.2K

And strangely none of them are worth reading.

Cruise Kino

Mods love their circle jerk generals

This

because it's accessible on mobile, even for esl third worlders
pretty much the only ones posting (decent quality)anime screenshots are involved with pc software, aka mpc's filename template, and mobileshits can't make webm's as well, setting aside the recent mp4 faggotry
try removing mobile access to the board and maybe those countries too, along with the battle shounen generals as well
should be slightly interesting how much changes if whoever anons still bother staying instead of leaving the board/site due to cancer

Simple board history. Since the start until mobile generals spread around about 2017 or so, the board was fairly mostly anime. Sadly crossboarders hopped on with shounen causing generals as well, and they arrived in masses. Even now third worlders on mobile can potentially have only one tab open otherwise they'll have mem issues, which is a reason why muh bump limit and generals happened as well. And as mentioned, they still can't post a decent anime screenshot all these years later.
A board without mobile, "veiled" generals, whatever cancer etc existed but sadly it is gone. Instead of muh 500 for an airing series and that's it for the week, before the board could have four threads for it at 200 fairly every day. Festering 500 with whatever retardation that doesn't disappear while you could leave or enter any of the threads at 200.

Claymore ran in Monthly Shonen Jump/Jump Square, smart guy

Because it's the natural cycle

Anime

Manga (then eventually webtoons/manwha/manhua)

Light novels

Full on novels

Then webnovels

you sure?

thankyouabe.png - 1280x720, 675.93K

Off the top of your head, how many exciting shows are airing right now?
I can name plenty of exciting Manga that are ongoing.

The only seasonal I'm watching is TBF

Intellectuals stop at manga because "I Got Reincarnated As A Toaster And My Little Sister Is Now Bread" is not worth reading
