Will the martial law announcement lead to a palace invasion type chaos or will it be another nothingburger? I'm honestly not sure. If you want to figure out where the arc is at any given moment I suggest you pay attention close to what Tserriednich is doing, saying, and what other characters have in store for him. He's unquestionably involved the endgame of this arc and it doesn't start until he moves or someone moves to force his hand. If he reacts strongly towards martial law and marches out of his room to start killing everybody while he's still undercooked then we are indeed at endgame. If he remains calm and continues training (likely) we are not. It's as simple as that.

One of my favorite things about Hunter is that it doesn’t alway morally throw a “bone” to fans. Just because a character is evil doesn’t mean they die horribly, selfish assholes can be selfish assholes without being thrown down a peg. It’s refreshing when every series seems to want to make everyone face karma and a fair “just world”, when it’s far from reality. In another series ging would’ve embarrassed himself and decides to become a non selfish person by now. I want Tsen to live just because of all the people just begging for him to die .

I agree. I never got the benefit of being an exorcist in this series. Like I’m sure they get paid VERY well, but if you’re elite enough to be a good exorcist I feel like there’s a lot of other avenues you can take that’s more fulfilling.
