Saberkeks explain

Why do Saberkeks hate this scene? I want answers from people who hate this scene.

I'm a saberkek and I like this scene

It's out of character for Saber

Original Stay/Night

Human Terminator that burns her own villages to win a war

Urozero

Muh bullied moral puppet

Just compare how she dealt with Gilgamesh in her own route. I can see her being insulted but she'd likely take it with a stride.

are you the new full metal alchamist?

Why do fans of character dislike scene where character is completely out of character and the scene is all about shitting on the character

Gee, I wonder

Because while what Iskander said was true (Shirou makes the same point in FSN later on) Saber's reaction to it and the way she handled that was completely wrong. She shouldn't have been THAT affected by his word and should've told him to fuck off like she did with Shirou

It's out of character for Saber

No it isn't.

Zero creates this false dichotomy of idealism vs. pragmatism between Seibah and Kerry when Stay Night Saber was an ultra-pragmatic terminator of a king while she was alive. In the very first bad end where Shirou bitches out of the HGW she almost kills Shirou for the mana until she takes pity on him and can also kill Shirou later on if her affection stat is low enough. She also almost killed Rin like 2 seconds after first seeing her.

muh alt VN fanfic endings

Fuck off

Alternative yeah but how are they fanfics if they're written by Nasu?

Because the scene tries to criticize Saber in a manner that's utterly retarded. No sane person listening to these three ramble would ever think anyone but Saber was saying something morally justifiable. We're heroes because we were tyrants doesn't excuse the fact that no one would be dumb enough to let someone like Gilgamesh or Iskandar govern them in the modern era.

Yes but also Saber wasn't a naively idealistic hero. She was plenty pragmatic. Just not to Kerry levels. The scene is a massive plothole.

Fate is just amwf propaganda.

FSN has female king Arthur give her virginity to a Japanese high school boy

Medea instantly forgets her marriage to the Greek hero Jason to get bred by a Japanese kungfu wobbly fist master

Medusa gets wet thinking about Japanese dick

Tohsaka ancestor implied to have married and impregnated an Edelfelt Sister from the 3rd Grail War

Kotomine's white wife literally dies trying to fix him

FZ has a prestigious German family hire a Japanese mage to impregnate their crown jewel, he also happens to have a devout assistant who happily serves as his stress relief

FApoc has the queen of ancient kingdom fall in love with a literallywho Japanese

FE has a Roman empress fall in love with a Japanese boy

FGO goes hard with this, Japanese teenager/college student/shota is sought after by female knights, goddesses, witches, queens/empresses, etc.

Because they don't understand that f/z is a prequel and it works as a fuel for Saber's regrets. The answer to the banquet of kings is a fucking FSN.

Ciel mogs everyone on that list and she has a french dad and a japanese mom, though.

Fate/Prototype: Japanese girls Manaka and Ayaka) fall for the ultimate white Prince Charming

I thought it was meant to be ambiguous. No one complains Iskander's way of rule is criticism of Gilgamesh or vice versa. Their ways of ruling is crazy but that's cuz (1) they are from a weird mythology, anime and idk the writer thought it sounded cool.

Saber fans mindbroken by this scene

Richard learns about this and becomes an even bigger Arthur lover

Be like Richard.

"AYAKA.... look at the Knight King... Don't you see a hero?"

"Eh?"

"As for me, Ayaka. I already know the legend of the Round Table, how the king is betrayed, how unreasonable things happened, how at the last moment she was worn-out and lost everything. But, I admire even those parts."

As AYAKA tilts her head, Richard begins to speak slowly as if a boy talking about his favorite baseball team.

"And its not like the other two kings denied the Knight King's answer in the banquet."

"Eh? But, with that much shouting..."

"Think carefully. It was just because Alexander the Great was angry. He never denied the Knight King's royal path. There was a lot of talk about her being a figurehead idol, but he never denied the idol herself. It's simple, he was saying "I'll acknowledge your achievements but I don't like it.""

Far from distracted, Richard spoke much more calmly than ever and AYAKA said surprised.

"Is that... so?"

"This is second-hand from my mother but, "The king does not walk the royal path; the people who walk that path are known as the nation." Depending on the era and the geography, the nation and vassals' moods, morality and everything else easily shifts. That's why there's no right answer to that conversation, and above all, the three who participated are the ones who should understand that the most. We are trying to infer their reasoning, not determine how right they are."

While grandly standing, Richard offered a joke to AYAKA.

"Well, there was one thing our Knight King lacked compared to the others. Her voice was too small! I would approve and deny any king's intentions! After all, it's natural for who was born in a different land, in a different time to have their own royal intentions! But the guy who said "I was the one who was right!" at the end was strong. He reminded me of that Crusader, Phillip.

Having run up to the rooftop of the next tallest building behind the Crystal Hill, Saber gave himself a second to catch his breath. "My great ancestral king! I'll prove to you!"

In front of him was a remarkably giant, jet black skull.

It was made from fusing many of the giant skulls together. From its back bloomed an uncountable number of bones so it resembled Avalokiteśvara.

In front of the grotesque monster, Saber had no fear and continued to carve praise for King Arthur onto the world.

"The royal path you walked was never wrong!"

Saber kicked off from the rooftop and soared high into the sky.

"The pride and the royal path the Round Table left us is what created us. Their tragedy and ruin shaped our souls! The glory of humanity, chivalry, is eternal. It shall never fall. Let me sing that to the Round Table and yourself!"

As he passed through the encroaching jet black flame, Saber fired a slash of light with all the power he possessed.

"We who admire you have lain eyes upon it! O'Ancestral King Arthur please keep watch!"

While singing the wish he carried at the top of his lungs.

"I may have already lost my qualification but..."

After a momentary self-depreciating smile came a shout studded in the radiance of a wish entrusted to someone he had not yet seen nor heard.

"One day, someone who isn't me will finally reach utopia. Ahh, yes! The history of planet you spun will surely deliver the place your body lays a peaceful breeze! And until the sound of that blessing plays -!"

"With the Holy Grail's power - I shall sing humanity's victory song so that it even reaches the depths of utopia.

.

out of character

Nasu literally told Urobuchi what the disagreement with 4th war Rider and Saber was supposed to be, and the two of them lived together while FZ was being written. You're effectively saying that Nasu wrote Saber wrong.

People forget Iskandar changes his opinion on Saber when Saber Excalibur blasts Caster Gilles. He's aslo warmer to her in FGO.

their convo makes no sense

Richard is too polite to call Urobutcher a hack.

because it's a pure woman moment

death to the author

Just saying, but how is it out of character? Saber's whole arc pre-Shirou was finding a way to remedy her perceived mistakes and change the past for the sake of her country even if it meant deleting herself from history.

already been explained

IIRC, In FS/N she wanted to undo herself removing caliburn. In F/Z they made it look like she wanted to save her dying country and only changed her mind to an undo after the banquet. It's a plothole I think.

He doesn't change his opinion of her, he just mourns that she bears the weight of so many struggles in her regret that she should not need to.

I like it

the two of them lived together while FZ was being written

Man these Nasu said posts are getting more and more distorted by the day

You shit.

Iskandar was a real dude.

Reminder that Strange Fake retcons this scene and says Iskandar never actually managed to disparage Artoria, only that her rule wasn't to his taste, she was still a perfect leader even in his eyes, he just can't accept her inhumanity in doing so.

Gil: lol my kingdom and subjects are mine and I can do whatever to them, their opinions don't matter

Dude: I enjoy my time with my subjects and together we will attain the impossible dream to reach the sea, whether I win, fail or get betrayed I will have no regret

Saber: I will do everything I can do save my kingdom from the Anglo, regardless of their opinion and the means

Is this correct?

More like
Gilgamesh: The people are possessions of the King, who does what he wants
Iskandar: The people are companions to the King, who does what he wants
Artoria: The King exists to serve the people, and does what they need

Gilgamesh: The king is god. You administer and take responsibility for everything.
Iskandar: The king inspires
Saber: The king serves the people.

I will do everything I can do save my kingdom from the Anglo

Saving a country from ruin by eternal Anglo is an impossible dream indeed.

Were they dating at the time

Nasu is known to be a huge slut and has an open relationship with Takeuchi. It's unknown who the father of her child even is.
