in the tv version you can see asuka cocks back and jerks forward into shinji's space to emphasize words (she does this in other eps too) while in the rebuild one she's just kinda jerking back & forth without much of a pattern so it doesnt really emphasize anything in-universe or for the viewer. also the shot before the close shot on her face is static in rebuild but in the tv version you get her leaning forward as shinji shrinks back, good body language, just makes the thing feel more authentic. also its a small detail but i prefer how they have a background unnamed student watching
