Are you excited for Nico's show? Her very cute and magical show starts today!
Witch Watch
Saw the first three episodes from some preview thing that included some behind the scenes intereviews. It was cute but this seiyuu's voice is pretty shrill.
The manga doesn't have fanservice right?
seiyuu
Isn't she a newbie?
Brand new. Like this is either her first role or one of them. It didn't help that the theater's volume was a bit too high, but I was not a fan. And didn't seem fanservice-y at all.
And didn't seem fanservice-y at all.
I was asking about the manga
its box on the chart wasn't populated properly when I added it to my PTW so I didn't realize that it's a WSJ, but since it's a WSJ I probably won't like it since they always have a certain kind of vibe to them
So we're like, what, gonna watch some witches or something?
Why is Japan excited for Witch Watch but not Maebashi Witches?
There are too many witch anime this season, how am I supposed to be able to tell which witch is which?
It does? Oh boy my Saturdays are going to be packed this season.
it's already sunday in seamonkeyland
The manga doesn't have fanservice right?
Assuming you're not the schizo, it has very light tasteful fanservice, it's not a titty book, There's an entire chapter dedicated to a side character who's a rookie mangaka trying to get into Jump with a lewd rom com
Nah, not that guy, but I am a pantyshot connoisseur too.
Does this series have deceased parents
there’s a dead mom
Whose mom
What is this even? Seems a bit of mismash from the trailer of school life gag comedy, romcom, perhaps implied combat?
So 99% of the time Witch Watch is a SoL comedy with a bit of romance between Moi (Male lead) and Nico (Female lead) every now and then they have a serious battle shonen arc that pushes the plot forward before going back to like 50+ chapters of SoL comedy shenanigans. Out of 200+ chapters and counting there have been about five battle Shonen arcs not including a few one off action chapters. It somehow works
Until they turn Nico into a child and it goes full Com
Maebashi witches looks awful
It somehow works
awright, I'll trust you, anon
It's Sunrise
she looks cute!
is maebashi some strike witches spin off?
No hat = no watch
I'm waiting for Miharu to show up.
It's a magical girl with singing.
How long?
I saw the movie, there were 3 people in my theatre. They didn't even show the OP/ED what a bunch of fags. Also they had extra segments of the seiyuu and director being interviewed saying how they wanted to show Japan's take on witch comedy to the world ... 3 people
Japan is excited for it? Proofs?
hated Sket Dance with all my soul
Kanata no Astra is one of my all time favorites
So what can I expect here?
No one will ever understand why they wasted money in an international release of some mildly popular sol comedy manga that isn't even popular outside of Japan.
Gintama MINDBROKE Shinohara kenta.
(In reality he probably just wants to take it easy, even the SOL in witch watch is way more low-effort (not saying it's definitely worse though) than Sket dance, or maybe no shits given is a better description).
Will the anime reach a serious arc?
Japanese suits (maybe Asian suits in general) seem absolutely retarded to me. One person gives a convincing speech and they all follow without a single big of critical thinking. I've given this anecdote on Anon Babble a few times but I toured a Japanese arts college and the presenters were talking nonstop about how at their school you'd also learn the power of blockchain and NFT with art. I can only imagine some brainwashed retard brainwashed himself into thinking this international movie thing was a good idea.
There's a bit in a Malcolm Gladwell book about how Korean planes crash more often because Korean culture meant a co-pilot couldn't correct the pilot if the pilot was making a mistake.
Maybe it's something similar, deference to your superiors even if you know what your superiors are doing is dumb and won't work.
You're definitely onto something with that.
I wouldn't even consider it mildly popular within Japan
Next season
blockchain and NFT
Jesus
I like seeing anime in theaters, but it's a gigantic misfire for a rather run of the mill, and seemingly mid/low-budget comedy. I'm sure there's far better deserving titles this season.
is way more low-effort
I don't know man some of these chapters can get involved like the bred puns ones, or the vintage fashion autism ones and especially the Oran Mirage chapters
They'll probably end the season with the Keigo arc
The captain's absolute authority ended with Tenerife. That led directly to Crew Resource Management. Seems like the East Asians can't shake their "We Gaan".
How new is Nico's seiyuu?
