And each time he tried to go off formula it ended up in convoluted fantasy shit that got axed quickly and is pain to read. The Yaiba animation is top tier but I could never get into those boring episodic stories with "daily life of odd boy" and monster of the week that dragon ball and others had as well. One sleeper hit this season is Danjo no Yuujou wa Seiritsu suru? (Iya, Shinai!!) - since its basically same kind of hipster LN adaptation as Oreimo, Haganai, Seishun Buta etc. - while it pretty generic setting wise, its writing and dialogue are above the typical manga and original anime. That might also be its downside, since in this genre it can lead to some turn off drama and writing, but it still is refreshing with its narrative and trying to avoid basic cliches and give depth to character - even if it is seen only in everyone being ironic hipster.

Nobody start the season on the 1st week, ask on the 2nd or 3rd week please... but Uma Musume and Kowloon are the top dogs this season, I also watched Ballpark(great), Slime 300(good) and Lazarus(meh).
