I just watched the first episode. The concept is nothing groundbreaking and it's unequivocally and shamelessly a tourism anime, but I'm really loving it.

Basically the tourism part of Yuru Camp but maxed out and without any restraint or shame whatsoever, plus the unmistakable vibe from Japanese travel shows which I (and plenty of Japanese people) love

Shimarin + Kino kind of protagonist (but minus Kino's sociopathy)

It really reminds me of and really feels like my solo travels in Japan which is really nostalgic and gives me inspiration for my future Japan trips

The first location, Aizu-wakamatsu, is a place that I've visited before which is really awesome and nostalgic and made me geek out

It's essentially a healing anime (iyashikei) for the general public of Japan, and I can see myself enjoying it every week.

I tried reading the manga when it first started getting translated years ago and it was legitimately incredibly boring. Also it's kind of pointless when you can't do the IRL xitter poll gimmick. Also looking at the screencaps the backgrounds look like they just grabbed images of the places and then superimposed the characters on top of them which is so incredibly ugly and lazy.
