Oregairu Kan

Well, I used this opportunity to finally watch the last season.

Yui:
- sweet
- conventionally feminine, ideal wife material
- good social skills
- pulls MC out of his overthinking hole and gives him real socialization
- supports the man in his endeavors
- caring and considerate of everyone around her

Yukino:
- bitchy
- uses complicated male logic
- shitty social skills
- enables and engages in MC's unhealthy argumentation habit
- burdensome
- never listens to the man
- self-centered and withdrawn

The entire Yukino dating thing just felt off and showed how incompatible they were as romantic partners. I guess it was a little cute, but antisocial masculine x antisocial masculine just fundamentally doesn't work for romance, at most friendship and rivalry. Out of the three, Yui is basically a requirement.

Hachi x Yui would work, but let's be honest, threesome ending was how it was clearly meant to be all along (+cheating with Iroha when he needs to blow off some steam). S2 ending with the double date had overwhelmingly best vibes. Yui cares about Yukino and Yukino appreciates her support. They all bring their strengths to the relationship, leaving either one out of the loop just doesn't feel right. The 2023 OVA saved things a little, though it only hinted towards love triangle (which still has the possiblity of ending as threesome) and felt rushed overall.

Well, you could say (even though he clearly enjoyed most of the time spent with Yui), that he still didn't really love her, but that's a HikiGAYa issue of not noticing her supreme qualities.

but it was always possible you retard hachiman

If the series take place in Saudi Arabia then he could simply marry both of them

These men are bitter masochists, that's why.

Yukino

shaaaaaa

Yui

fat bitch who didnt shaaaaaa

>shaaaaaa

What does that mean?

- uses complicated male logic

What does that exactly mean?

They are jeets

i think the whole point was that 8man could only go for a chick like yukino despite having 4 other perfect girls delivered to his lap. there's something distinctly irish about that

there's something distinctly irish about that

What do you mean?

Remove Yukino entirely. This was never a harem or a love triangle.
She had no romantic feelings for 8man until the last couple of chapters when all of her issues were swept under the rug.

Oregairu fell off hard after the ebina arc. It became too melodramatic instead of focusing on the service club actually helping people. Glad I stopped after S2 and vol 10 of the LN.

when all of her issues were swept under the rug.

Like what issues?

bitchy

true

uses complicated male logic

wrong, she's always the rational one

shitty social skills

true

enables and engages in MC's unhealthy argumentation habit

destroying 8man with facts and logic is a pro
the rest of your points are wrong

Yukino isn't masculine at all. She's the character most emotionally dependent on Hachiman. The series does a bait-and-switch. You think it's about fixing Hachiman when it's actually about fixing Yukino.
Also Yui just wants a threesome. She wouldn't even be happy if she "won"
I agree Season 3 was a mess though

Yui also being a non character in the novels all but solidifies this. Which is why this third season was so awful when it disregarded all the little changes they had made thus far to turn this into a triangle of sorts. Back then we all felt after the end of season 2, when the novel was still on hiatus, that they were going for a anime original ending.

I accuse you of making up all of that stuff.
I challenge you to pick out one scene and use it to prove any of your claims.

The series does a bait-and-switch. You think it's about fixing Hachiman when it's actually about fixing Yukino.

It's about them fixing each other

if sharks say shaaa, then cats should say caaaa

I've been stuck on season 3 for a few months now. I only have a few episodes remaining to watch. Each time I watch 5 minutes of an episode, I get emotional. I know what will happen and I'm too scared to press the play button...
I agree with you. Yui is the best girl but truth is I don't want to see any of them lose. I don't want to see them part way.

You just failed to understand the show.
Even Iroha is better than Yui.

Yukino and Hachiman both have relational problems. So it's at the very least about fixing both. 2 broken people can't fix each other, they can only enable themselves (though you could also interpret it as two alien people finding one of their kind). Exposing them to Yui's normie social sense is the obvious solution, but then the story kind of ditches her (concludes at Yukino x Hachi but hints on love triangle or threesome in the future, making it messy and inconclusive).

Yukino x Hachiman is an indulgent and unhealthy ending for them, and sad for Yui as a third wheeler and just makes me wonder, what was even the point of Yui. Be a kind and ideal girl = get left out. It doesn't sit right with me. It would be different if it was a full-blown harem, but S2 was all about "what should we do about us", the three of them.

The series is not as complicated as you're trying to make it.

It's two autists with similar personalities being locked in a room together until they fuck.
Sensei, Haruno, and Komachi help them along when possible.
Yui was never a serious contender. She was there to complicate the situation and make them all afraid of breaking the status quo. Yet in doing so they failed to be truthful about their feelings. So when 8man finally confessed he was being genuine. The lesson on Yui's side is that heartbreak is a part of life and you can't avoid it forever by maintaining a status quo. You have to try and leave yourself open to failure. And if you fail, there's no shame in that. It's what allows you to move on with your life.

So what you are saying is Yui a shit.

Yui wasn't needed for them to get fixed, that's what the club was for and why sensei forced them into it

It's what allows you to move on with your life.

And then Yui tries to steal Hachiman from Yukino.

Why did 8man keep flirting with Yukimom during the family dinner? Yukino was even telling him to stop but he just kept doing it.

Yui is a bad friend.

TFW you realize it needed three season to do what White Album did in 1.

Yukino is worse. She fell for the dude her friend liked and stole him.

Yui, you can't have what was never yours stolen.

Yukino x Yui and 8man x Saika OTP

Yukino, Haruno, Sensei, Iroha, and Komachi were all capable of understanding 8man and talking to him in a way Yui was never able to.

Why was Yui never able to do that? She seems to have been singled out as the only character who was forced to just sit there smiling having no idea what 8man is saying to people.

WW, the author, is an incel that uses Yui to funnel all the impotent rage he has about not getting laid. He got rejected by a nice ray of sunshine like Yui so he has to take out his sick revenge on her. Yui was born only so he could kick her.

Because Yui a shit

WW, the author,

anon*

Yui is fantastic and a perfect angel, wasted on 8man. She never did a single bad thing in the entire novel.

She knew, but she didn't give a shit and wanted to maintain status quo.

If she is so good then how come she lost?

The author is an incel that deposits his mental illness onto a good girl as his revenge against women. The author also liked money so he made the retarded moeblob bitch win.

That sounds like cope for being unable to accept that Yui a shit.
