I forget where I read it but a credible chinese leaker with insider information said that the staff line up aren't very good, so be prepare for another cheap adaptation like 2006's Souten no Ken.

Well I honestly don't expect much from the beginning but as long as I can't see a source I'll just be skeptical anyway.
If one has to be fair though, the original anime wasn't exactly the most expensive anyway, it was only halfway through the show that it upgraded its visuals a bit, and the movie knocked it out of the park for the time. It was carried through good directing, voice actors and sound (alongside the narrative of course)

The VA and designs have changed many times between adaptations, vidya, pachinko, etc.
I'm more interested in if it's going to be the manga 1:1 or if they are going to make adjustments to the story so it's more consistent.

Unironically yes. The 80s anime still had good OST and god-tier voice direction, plus stuff like expanding the Shin arc made it unique. This remake isn't guaranteed even that much.

Isn't that just the original Italian VHS release (but with a spanish dub)? It still has censoring, just on less stuff. You can see it in stuff like Ken's scene with the bandits at the start where he crushes the guy's skull, the stupid ghosting and everything is still there.
The true lost media version is one that's stuck on a film reel somewhere and hasn't been shown since 1986 when it aired in Japanese theaters I believe.

That's pretty much it. As far as I hear the censor is basically that ghosting and depending on the version also a huge quality decrease. The actual uncensored version would probably look much like the rest of the movie i.e. just cel animation.

Japs are so creatively bankrupt these days that they rely on remakes. Why not adapt old manga instead? For example: Tough or Karate Shoukoushi Kohinata Minoru

Though I can understand them taking their time. All of the anime studios in Japan, from small to big, are busy with projects right now, and probably booked for years ahead. So if they got a shitty studio, they at least want to polish things as much as they can. They are not in a hurry, as apparently thanks to pachinkos, HNK is somehow one of the most highest grossing media IP's of all time. So I doubt they want to make anime to sell more manga copies, and it'll be more a passion project for fans. Hell, they have enough money just to open their own studio if they want to.

By going full modern adaptations schizo mode, I can say:
No Rin pantyshots. Actually her thighs also could be seen problematic, so maybe a censored redesign of her. Or she'll just be an adult from beginning.
I wonder what could be done with early Rei. Him going "MAMIYA, YOU WILL NEVER BE A MAN" and then undressing her twice might seem problematic, but also those are iconic moments so idk. Maybe to compensate they will actually make him kiss Yuda before his death.
I think you're overblowing it. Though if they do censor Rei undressing Mamiya they'd probably just reduce it to him reducing her to underwear.
