Irregular at magic highschool (absolute garbage)

So she just gets away with everything?
Iv never seen such a nothingburger show before.
So the twin sisters who experimented on the son get away with everything? This hag doesnt suffer any consequences and tatsuya just follows the plan she laid out for him.

Who even writes this shit? I was hoping there would be plot twists, there are none.

What did you expect? The MC doesn't even hide his powers. It's the sort of story that doesn't sweat over things like that.

Its crazy to me that a story could be so trash. I really pity the writer.

To think someone wrote something so lowly, and then was lucky enough to have it adapted into 3 seasons. A talentless hack like that succeeding is just bizarre to me. I wonder if he made enough bucks to retire of this shit lmao

I mean she was raped when a child and left infertile so she is innocent

Idc she's hot and I've spilled gallons of cum to her (and will spill countless more)

Why exactly does the character have to suffer consequences?

She and her twin sister placed a magic spell in the main characters brain that makes him feel almost 0 emotions. All he has left is dull emotions toward his sister and thats only becauze those are the only emotions they wanted him to have, in order to keep him docile but also so that if his sister were to die he would destroy the world and thus fulfill maya yotsubas desire for revenge on humanity.

Tldr, she wanted revenge so she turned a boy into a perma robot / bodyguard / self destruct weapon

In their world all magicians are basically guinea pigs and human experimentation was how modern magicians got to the level they are at currently so onii-chan's circumstances aren't that odd.

Its just bad writing

It also weird that how his sister is sorta okay with it. She basically reaped all the benefit as her brother can only be devote to her and no one else. He basically her slave and the series treated it as some healthy relationship.

You know most dystopia science fictions are either about how to fight back against the dystopia society or how the dystopia society is a warning about something in the present. This probably the first series I've read where the dystopia future is frame as a good thing because "Japan fuck yeah"

meh, in that world everything is just very fucked up behind the shadows when it comes to magicians. It's mentioned many times that people are trying to change how magicians are treated in society but the yotsuba's don't really care and keep the tradition of trying to makes super humans by any means possible.

He basically her slave and the series treated it as some healthy relationship.

Thats the worst part about it! because i thought it was gonna go a dark route with the sister being yandere and abusive it would have been hot as fuck...
instead it doesnt commit to that either, its just as you said: the writer doesnt even comprehend that the mc is in a fucked position, im willing to bet they might suffer from some emotional deficit themselves because no one who who has an ounce of creativity would write something so bland. It had potential but the mc is just as castrated as the writers creative freedom.

The story arc where MC get back his emotions would be a really change of the status quota. How does a man who lost his ability to choose react to the sister who took advantage of his condition once he recovered? It would also shake up the dynamic he has with his supporting casts.

Yea it would have been cool. Imagine if the sister tried to subtly re lobotomize him so she can have him all to herself again so he has to face the fact he has to either kill or submit to her because he cant escape her magical ability. Lots of potential wasted yare yare

gives Miyuki exactly what she wants (Tatsuya's hand in marriage)

names Miyuki heir to the clan

sole goal in life is to accomplish one of two things

either enable Miyuki to live the life she never had or have Tatsuya destroy the world

Tatsuya is completely on board with this plan and he was going to do the same anyways whether or not she was involved

It's hard to defeat a villain whose goals are aligned with the protagonists.

Tatsuya is completely on board with this plan

Not that he really has a choice. The only shred of humanity he has is protecting miyuki. Maya yotsuba won via 4d chess.

Maya is literally us and we did nothing wrong.

No im the red haired tomboy and i want to suck on the tits of the crystal eyed lass

Is Maya really the villain though?
She seems more like the heavy handed parental figure who seems unfair but is really just doing what's best for her children and preparing them for the world.

Dude she wants revenge above all else and ready to burn the world, including the children she "care" for. Also she literally has one of those children lobotomy for the sake of her ambition.

Seeing the average guy's reaction to this show truthpilled me on other men.
The highest desire of masculinity isnt to dominate, its to submit to a mother figure even if at the cost of your own well being. Being turned into an emotionless soldier who protects is what society and biology already does to men, this show only takes it slightly further than it already is irl, to be a man is to to feel an urge to protect even at the cost of your own sanity and soul.

Not that thats a bad thing. But being unable to comprehend that the average guy would not mind, in fact they would quite enjoy being an emotionless albeit strong and poweful puppet as long as its for an attractive women.

Sure history shows a patriarchal past, but one has to wonder how many layers of female subversion are built into such a system, how many women actually died in wars?
Men want an illusion of power whilst submitting to the soft power of the female psychology which is much better suited for controlling the tools that are men.

The writer is lowkey smart.
Thank you for reading my essay i hope you all find your queen.

No fuck yandere shit or dark shit, Tatsuya should just recover his emotions and pin her down and take control instead and be happy with at least 4 kids with her and othe girls

Deep

Bro hear me out. Yandere babies from miyuki having her way with tatsuya whilst he is in a comotose state from his brain being too magically operated on (every time he cums he loses 1% of the little emotion he even has left and it gets absorbed into miyuki who becomes even magically stronger (her breasts grow from feeding on his emotions))

[The bad ending]

Still doesnt piss me off as much as the shinseki yori ending

I'm reading this, still on volume 12 but as the series goes on miyuki seems to be more and more submissive to tatsuya, it's just that he doesn't have much of a will and mostly let's her do her things but whenever he speaks up she just shuts up and accepts whatever he decides.

Bump

Just stop reading. It never gets better

I enjoy slop.

This isnt even good slop tho, its torture.
Assassination classroom, or solo leveling is classical slop and actually not a drag to watch or read.

T. Slop enjoyer

I'm pretty sure he does until the cat's out of the bag that he was a soldier.

He does a comically bad job of hiding his powerlevel.
Its so weird how the show introduces plot points for them to have no relevance later on and just be abandoned.

Just because the plan is evil doesn't mean it's stupid and destined to backfire I guess.

I don't remember that in the anime or I dozed off because it was slop either way I can't comment lol

He doesn't really hide his talents though, it's just that he doesn't make a show out of them or pretend to be some talentless hack. He doesn't hold back from helping out the team and giving them an unfair advantage.

Why would he hide those? The things he's meant to hide are his unique magics and that he's a Yotsuba.

cowtits

misunderstanding the plot this hard

The plot has nothing to do with Maya: she's just part of the setup. The real plot is between Tatsuya and that crippled ikemen from the #1 family, and the whole point of the plot is to show that Tatsuya is in fact the best ever.

That's it, that's the story.

If you're hung up on Maya and Miyuki's relationships with Tatsuya, you're projecting your own issues on the show.

No, the point of the LN is to wank over the setting and its technology.

Tats and Miyuki are by far the weakest part of Mahouka. World is interesting, magic system is interesting, politics are interesting and many side characters are good.

This series needs Railgun style spinoffs.

The point of the LN and the point of the plot don't have to be the same thing.

It has spin-offs though, so go read those if you want them.

Look at this poor girl. She will experience what Miyuki has feared her entire life.
She thought she would be the one to get the Tatsuya but instead her aunt betrayed her. Poor thing.
I can't wait for the movie.
