The anime is so over the top because of scenes like this where the entire world breaks and hard violins sound off while 80 people gasp. I knew that this would happen when the remake dropped. To any newfags. I cannot stress enough to avoid starting with this remake. Start with either the original anime or the manga, as this remake assumes you’re already familiar with the story.

Rosalie is basically the second main character considering how much screen time she gets and how much the story focuses on her. Her legacy also lives on through Nanako in Oniisama e, who’s obviously a spiritual successor to Rosalie in many ways.

That reminds me of a fun fact actually: Mariko’s mom in Oniisama e is actually voiced by the same seiyuu as Rosalie, which makes her the only seiyuu that carried over from RoV to Oniisama.

Rosalie revenge arc is one of my favorites, it also has one of the closures ever. Ikeda is really good at getting you invested and punching you in the guts
