Do you like it so far?
Lazarus
Let's hope episode 6 is good
Lmao
creates an interesting world and huge stages but lacks the inventiveness to do anything with them
A microcosm of modern media
Modern anime
This nigga has the most obnoxious way of talking I've ever seen.
Super annoying.
Why not just design a cool black hacker but an extremely narcissistic annoying bitch?
Why the fuck is IGN doing anime reviews?
And it's honestly kinda boring, I'll probably just drop it at this point. Same issue I had with Moonrise.
This show is odd
some woke scientist made some schizo drug that will kill everyone
brazilian protagonist beats up black people every time he appears on screen
the tranny is furthest thing away from passing
the black scientist dude punched some guy who told him he couldn't be einstein
black guy is coupled with the crossdresser
3 greatest hackers consist of one DJ, one pretty girl, and some fat black woman driving a van
who?
black
Mexican
Episode 2 and especially 4 were good. Axel doing parkour for the first episode was meh but the club episode was good. Feels pretty aimless still and Skinner mystery is okay, I guess?
two of the men eyeing the crossdresser
the woman looking at herself
Obviously the Western reception has been negative but what do the Japanese think of Lazarus?
woke scientist
They found the scientist and the cure in episode 3.
Turns out they're both blind and most of what follows is a pointless waste of time.
That guy is overdressed for sure
Because he’s not Einstein
the Western reception has been negative
I doubt this
it should've been 2 cour
lead on skinner of the week shenanigans to build characters and world
1st cour ends with dead skinner
plot heavy 2nd cour
The new Watanabe anime
Even Redditors are saying it isn't very good.
I'm sure they're fine with the uniquely Westoid shit though
A lot more Westerners worked on Lazarus than Japanese.
Seems like slop to me
looks straight out of tumblr
is super annoying
Wow what a surprise.
Probably because it's a Watanabe series and the show is clearly targeted towards the West.
the elevator fight was animated very oddly.
the production quality is all over the place in general. especialy with watanabe involved.
guess he just phoned it in
Westoid influenced garbage. It must be real bad if all the diversity points couldn't budge IGN's score pass 5. Sad.
I haven't watched #5 yet, but yeah it's pretty good so far. Not exactly what I expected from the trailer, but good nonetheless. It's got that cyberpunk vibe.
it's pretty good so far
How so? The animation is terrible and the writing is almost as bad.
I like cyberpunk.
Space Dandy was good because he just phoned in.
The woke shit is jarring for sure but as a vidyafag I have learned to fiter it out.
What's really bad about the show is the worldbuilding, from the initial premise of the super-painkiller becoming ubiquotous and uncontrolled and mass produced by every pharmaceutical company without decades of tests, to the reaction to the doomsday announcement on all levels. Or maybe that IS the plot point in itself? Drug dulled peoples reaction to negative stimuli so much neither governments nor mob do not really care about existential threats? Nah, doubt the author thought that far.
mass produced by every pharmaceutical company without decades of tests
did covid vaccine get memory-holed?
seems like anime industry is not up to date with news
Blackrock money runs out so they're pulling support for trannies
that means you don't get paid reviews, don't have shills on social media artificially praising your anime and you don't have discs bought by them in mass quantity to give you illusion of commercial success
or maybe originally they planned for 2 seasons and they saw the Blackrock news thing and rethinked
really dumb producers of that anime
