Character development haircut

character development haircut

FUCKING DROPPED

Why was this allowed?

because the animators have an easier job animating nowadays

from what i remember anne was a pretty shitty brat in the original
the old anime seems to be a terrible adaptation

Thats not what happened though.

Cute boy

I'm glad that people get outraged over haircuts.
It's like a beacon telling me, "this is a good anime that suits your tastes".
Thanks again for the PSA anon, I'll definitely be watching this now.

you remember wrong.

well its been 20 years since ive read it

Theyre trying to create screenshot worthy scenes for memes and stuff so hard lol

Because you don't understand the entire point of the character and what that scene is trying to communicate. In case it wasn't obvious (in the book or new show) she is not a "normal" reserved girl.

fish eye lense

dumbed down dialogue

i don't even watch this shit but gee whiz. sorry for you guys.

Picked up

dumbed down subtitles, actually

getting triggered by something that happens in the original 1908 book

SWEET DREAMS ARE MADE OF THESE

They've been doing this shit for almost 120 years

Fucking kill all haircut writers.

Utterly seething
How does it feel to have shit taste?

expressive = bad

It's called "hairacter development"

You write like you never read anything in your life.

fish eye lens... le bad

Expressive = can't criticize it

How. Fucking. Dare. You.

You sound like a midwit

he thinks it started in the 1900s

lol
lmao even

nta, but there's a time and place for that. when you use it in a way that doesn't fit, it stands out and looks cringy. Its got the same energy as opening up photoshop and using every single text effect because you can and you think it looks cool.

what if anne was a gyaru

>dumbed down dialogue

all the subs are fake anyway

This

Anne's a lesbian?

It's fish eye from his perspective, to him it's a weird little girl acting way outside the norm.

Anne is cuter in the remake, so I prefer the remake. Sorry, Megamind.

I don't know why? But the bottom kinda make me turn on by her.

I had no idea what you were talking about for the first few seconds. Remake was super smooth and I like how she catches her hat as it flies off her head. Alot of really good movement. It does portray her as less of her time though. I wonder if the bubblyness is the head animator just kinda flexing and using it as an excuse or if the writer really wanted her to be portrayed as more whimsical like a Ghibli character or something? While the fish eye is kinda unnerving i could never not find the giant forehead she has in the old version not funny. The hat also looks kinda off in a few shots. It's an old anime though so it's not a big deal. Wouldn't say it looks bad or anything. Fish eye looks straight up bad if you ask me. I dont really get what it's supposed to be conveying to me. Is it that she's up in the audiences face and likes it? I dont really get it.

Someone post the haircut scene. I ain't bothering with watching a whole episode of this. I passionately hated this book as a kid

What's this even about? Must be good if it's been adapted like 100 times

cgdct but its the very early 1900s.

The bottom is cuter and better

Here's the thing: sometimes a faithful adaptation is less interesting than otherwise. Not that that necessarily applies here, but I think people tend to get caught up on whether something perfectly followed the source material when there are plentiful examples of an adaptation being improved with minor changes.

this person is a woman.
