completely shallow, utterly lack charisma, zero appeal beyond being mid bait for shonenshitters that make up 70% of the opm fanbase nowadays

Does he even exist in the original comic by ONE?
Like I remember the supposed Blast rescuing kid Tatsumaki, but his whole appearance on the Garou arc in the remake didn't happen in the original comic, and even if non-canon that's the most characterization I remember he receiving ever.
So in the original comic he is just a guy.

I think it's a bad design,

They should have made him basically Doc Hudson

Saitama finds himself in a rundown crummy town, he stays in the house of some grumpy old dude

While there he discovers a bunch of old newspapers about Blast, then he discovers Blast's costume hidden behind a wall

the grumpy old man confesses to being Blast, Saitama is confused why he is hiding away

Blast reveals he is disgruntled with society and the state of things, thinks it's not worth caring about being a hero

Saitama eventually motivates him to return to the public light

in the WC he has a regular job besides being the top hero, in the manga he's pretty much just a bland cosmic fighter

I like to think Bug Ego is ONE making a fanfic about his friendship with Murata

It really highlights how people who enjoy muratas work are actually insects

up until it was revealed that blast saved tatsumaki when she was a child, I just assumed that blasy was actually just saitama. blast's son existing puts the theory even further into the grave
my reasoning was as follows

no one seemed to know who blast was or how to find him

his general behavior is similar to saitama's

his webcomic design is incredibly similar to saitama's

the reason why no one recognized saitama as blast was because he lost his hair (in universe his baldness is a pretty recent development)

he is comically stronger than everyone else for no descernable reason

the hero association was shown to be aware of genos before he joined, so it wouldn't be a leap in logic for them to get a few glimpses of saitama

oh and I forgot

the hero association was formed because saitama saved that kid

I need Fubuki ass

yeah. would have been interesting and funny if it was just a younger saitama, but ONE himself scratched that in the WC

Everything about it in the manga has been shit, this character is a blackhole of quality that makes other characters worse by just being in the same panel, fuck it even being near to him makes you and your story lame.

I would say he's the single worst element that murata brought into the manga and that someone should set his sneaker collection on fire as punishment for that godawful armor design.

Murata draws Blast to look like an idealised version of himself, he even gave Blast shades he doesn't have in the webcomic because Murata wears glasses in real life.

He's not even canon, this is a completely fabricated character

He should've stayed elusive

I was sure he would be the twist villain but he's such a generically good guy with no room for intrigue

It is meh, i always thought of Blast as an upgraded version of OPM, like he would have the same colour / same motif / same shadow but his suit would be way more detailed and cooler. Also his hair would be super fucking lustrous
