The time has come for one last bow, like all your other selves. Eleven's hour is over now, the clock is striking twelve's.
Uma Musume Cinderella Gray
At least Yaeno Muteki is finally winning
Nice.
If anyone deserves to finally get a win, it's her.
Can someone give me a quick summary TL of what happened in chapter 187/188? I've read the raws. But I don't understand this whole clock symbolism they've got going on.
God it's taking the English TL folks way too long to progress. They're still stuck at chapter 136.
I haven't read it yet but I assume it would be alluding to Oguri's time coming to an end, like the the magic in Cinderella wearing off once the clock hits midnight.
I can understand that, but how does that translate to everyone being shocked in pic related? What is happening here? Is her body weakening? I understand that she was hospitalized prior to this run. Was she simply not recovered 100% yet?
Clock strikes 12, cinderella magic is over
That plus mental stress of feeling alone because Inari and Creek retired, which pissed Yaeno because she wasn't recognized by Oguri
Oguri is jobbing in this race
She will job even harder next one
Kitahara...
Haven't read the manga in ages. Are we now during the "Oguri became a fucking jobber" era?
What's the deal here?
why is this uma mindbroken? I assume it has something to do with Oguri's domination but why in particular?
Also why does Osaichi George(?) wear her horn accessory after she leaves it behind?
Not really. We're currently at the race I highlighted. Her previous loss was because of an injury (still got 2nd place). And the current race was lost because she wasn't fully recovered and she's feeling all alone.
only two more races
Nooooo
Post WINNERS
11th
3rd JC jobbing
Oguri Cap more like Oguri Kwab
Those fags release it twice a month for some reason despite CG being a weekly manga
I was wondering why there were so many comments on the intro video for the central umas about Yaeno's hand, but damn, it's kind of crazy how long it took for that setup to pay off. Good for Yaeno, after all this fucking time.
I caught up now. Everyone is shocked because she didn't spurt when she should have. Pretty sure the clock imagery is exactly as it seems, symbolizing that Oguri has passed her peak and the magic has ended.
She's crying about how because Oguri is here, no one cares about them. How in a world with Oguri Cap, there's no point in continuing, and how their generation is called the valley generation because the generation before them had Oguri and the eternal 3 strongest, and the generation after them already has a bunch of promising umas, and how everyone has already given up on them. Which is why she decided to retire and why she left her hair ornament.
I'm honestly impressed with how the mangaka manages to keep a solid quality for the manga despite it being weekly.
Can you spell out that hand thing for me? OK, so when they first met, Yaeno shook Oguri's hand with her left hand. And now there's that SCALING THE WALL AAAAAAAAAAAAAH symbolism with her right hand in the raws. I'm a filthy EOP and I don't understand it.
When they first met, she was jealous that Oguri had already started her racing career in spades while she was had a delayed debut, so she disrespectfully used her left hand to shake.
And by the time she wanted to apologize for her rudeness, Oguri was way beyond her. Which is why she wants to reach her level and apologize and properly shake her right hand. Which is why in this page it's her right hand.
Oh, so that left hand shake was a gesture of disrespect. I assumed that it was some kind of an autistic fighter/martial arts thing since she's a martial artist.
Good payoff then in that case.
I mean it was definitely still an autistic thing, since I'm pretty sure she's the only one who thought of it like that. Oguri definitely didn't notice or care at the very least.
and why she left her hair ornament
So Osaichi George wears it so she can prove that their generation can make it out of the valley? Or is there a different reason?
Meant for
So we're gonna get the full manga adaptation, right? There's no way Cygames is gonna just stop at the Tamamo Cross arc.
tfw the final arc is a big movie with all the budget in the world thrown at it
I'd literally book a flight to Japan just to watch it.
They don't explicitly say it, but it's not hard to imagine why she's wearing her retired friend's ornament.
It would be a real shame if they didn't. Honestly I can only hope the reason they waited so long to adapt it was so they could time it better with the manga's ending and that they'll announce a second season right after the second cour ends.
As I've said before, CG could easily be the definitive AOTD in this age of low effort slop if they adapt everything and don't cut any corners in the process. With their current pace, and assuming the manga ends after like chapter 220-230, we could have everything animated after four seasons and a movie ending.
I just hope the mangaka sticks the landing and gives us the best final arc possible. If that happens, I'd buy the full manga volume collection just to have them decorating my shelves.
Beats Oguri
Gets mad for beating her
What's her problem
She's aware she beat declining Oguri instead of peak Oguri.
11th place? Holy fuck
best girl is back
Yep, I'm expecting another KINO Japan Cup.
I love her.
Of course, who doesn't love the REAL Japan Cup winner.
I really should catch up with the manga.
Only two races left eh
Japan Cup
The worst race ever of our Monster. An australian horse wins. Who the hell is White Stone? It's the best performer horse in that race, ending in 4th place, then Yaeno Muteki 6th, Ogurin 11th and the angry Osaichi George literally ends last
Arima Kinen
The final race of our monster, and her final win. The first big race of Mejiro Ryan who ends in second place (by the way, we have seen Mejiro McQueen in chapter 160 talking with Ardan). White Stone ends 3rd, and Osaichi, Yaeno and Ardan race there too but they job very hard
The previous Japan Cups had Obey and Folkqueen and their kino arcs. Aussie uma has really big shoes to fill.
Can I jump into this show if I've never seen anything from this franchise?
it's exactly for people like you, it's just a damn good sport show, I havent even watch main uma musume seasons, just recent movie
Alright, thanks for the (you).
But really, why did Special Week fail as a main character to the point that they pretend she never existed?
Her story has already finished. They did the same with Teio, Kitasan, NTR, and Jungle Pocket. They hit their peak in their respective series and don't have anything else to tell. Only showing up for cameos and in their canonical races but don't do much of anything else.
