It goes by rule of cool and nothing else, aslong as the characters can do cool poses and act stoic the author doesn't give a shit about fleshing out the world at all or developing the villains. Every single villain is one note and boring, never gets any flashbacks, coming off the heels of a series where even random fodder got chapters dedicated to developing their backstory. This series is empty and souless.
