Go Beyond will always annoy me because it's completely out of left field. I don't take Rai finding a string as this being good foreshadowing, it is just nonsensical. Even in the universe of constant schizobabble and pseudoscience it doesn't make sense, and Josuke's plunder ability is right there for him to use and get a powerup of. I'll forever say it would have been better for Josuke to gain the ability to plunder either Calamity itself, or plunder stands.

The only reason I see why he did it is because he desperately wanted to include the Spin somehow in JJL but he couldn't figure out how - he designed Josuke's ability before knowing how he'd connect it to the spin. So we get this weird contrived inclusion of the spin that exists solely because he wanted to include it, not because it makes sense for the story.

I think I prefer Wonder of U more than Silver Chariot Requiem as a final arc, because I at least liked Part 5 up until SCR. It's a disappointed slog that drags itself for far too much dialogue for its own good, which is saying something given that this is JoJo. While the exact same could be said about the WoU arc, the difference for me is that I've been disappointed and disinterested in JoJolion for most of the arcs, barring a few. I can't even hold it against JoJolion, I just think its par for the course. But I also understand why people hate WoU more, especially if you were reading it in real time. I really don't know how one could try to defend an ending that is so unanimously hated. At least you could say you saw Giorno be the boss on a single page, even if it was unfulfilling from a narrative stand point. You can't even say that about Holly.

I like individual parts of Jojolion, I like a lot of the ideas here, I love the characters, I even disagree with the commonly held opinion that Jojolion stops being good with Damo, but the execution in general is awful. Araki does not put together the puzzle, he throws pieces away, all that's left is a mess by the end. Jojolion could have been great, but what we have is just disappointing.

The escalation of the hairspray starts as soon as Mitsuba sees him passing the window, and fucks Jobin when he defends himself. I'm not the one who made up a headcanon that you need to be on the exact axis of his back to trigger calamity, especially since people who read the manga can obviously see it's nonsense.
