People are really misunderstanding the Dean's motives here.
The point was that people were abusing Cyan on a personal level. He saw the good she could do but recognized that as long as she's just a girl they could approach, people would try to get at her.
By turning her into an anonymous religious figure, he removes that issue. Now her "blessings" can be given freely to the masses to make everyone happy while keeping her safe from others trying to approach her for underhanded means.
The issue is that this solution is just "remove her personhood". It's an answer that denies Cyan a chance to be anything herself, turning her just into an object of devotion. As such, the Dean misses how he's helping everyone else except for Cyan in the end. And now that she's trying to show some individuality, he's upset as he sees it as her disrupting this peace he's created.

They're not needless spoilers, because for the most part, they don't get adapted directly to the show. You have a fascinating approach to such a genre.
I find the PVs as more teasing than spoiling. So far, both Nice and E-Soul's PVs were misleading.
Nice's was completely false as it was an act done by the old Nice where he fought Wreck like a villain of the week and looked happy with Moon while Wreck seethed. Obviously with the context of what really was going on behind the scenes, the whole thing has a different light looking at it a second time.
E-Soul's PV was this huge lore teaser with Old E-Soul being painted as some heroic figure being attacked by a wicked shadow. This one wasn't outright wrong, but the truth is we followed a New E-Soul who was that very shadow and Old E-Soul's reminiscing clearly took place just before their big fight.
Lucky Cyan's preview is a bit more honest so far. She helps a younger version of herself (wearing the robe) find Luo before revealing it's herself and going off happily, only for her manager to walk up behind her and say "don't be silly, he's dead" and her to respond "yes, it's my fault cause I brought him misfortune."
We got the first half here, and now we gotta wonder what the implications of the second half are going to be. How did he die? Is he really dead dead or more that she thinks he's dead? Is she hoping to become X in some attempt to bring him back to life? Etc.

If you guys are liking this Cyan arc you should really play this kino NTR game called Azoth. The second part of the game is about a sex cult that does the same things that Dean's cult does. It's extremely similar and sheds some light on what's happening in this arc. If you don't like NTR (I don't) it's still worth it since the story is interesting and the main character turns into an anti-NTR vigilante like John Wick. Highly recommended.

You can kill zombie women (bigger breasts are higher quality) and stick severed heads on their bodies to make zombie waifus that you can fuck in your home base. They even moan and talk to you like they're still alive while fucking since you're a schizo, so it's not just pounding meat. It's kino.
