I liked the early arcs but overall it has felt all over the place with very odd pacing and feeling more like a fever dream than a story. Part 1 felt better paced IMO.
How were full bodies even fitting inside Denji's mouth in the ageing devil conflict? I get the Pochita stomach thing but his mouth should be still human right?
I still have no idea what is going on with Fumiko, how did she just survive the aging devil contract thing and what was with her body double thing?

Sometimes I feel like Fujimoto already has the story planned out, and other times he has the opposite. The weird thing is that sometimes the two combine.
For example, Fujimoto MUST prevent Yoshida from dying at all costs, so he already has a plan for the final arc, but at the same time he has to do retcons and give him plot armor, which he shouldn't if he already has the story planned out.
Maybe he already has some general ideas about how to end it, but he still has nothing specific or how they'll get there.

I think both being true is what makes Denji interesting, he clearly cares about people around him by his actions and subsequent guilt but is massively emotionally stunted from his upbringing (or complete lack of) so he is running off instinct in a lot of his decision making because he didn't have a guiding hand, and the only guidance he has had were either killed or people manipulating his powers for personal gain.
Denji deserves shit but people paint him as irredeemable trash when I think one of the best parts about CSM (particularly part 1) is how Fujimoto writes mentally warped characters.
It is also why I think the public safety structure part 1 had with Denji and Makima keeping him on a leash helped the story remain cohesive where part 2 feels much more all over the place, with all the shit happening we might as well be as in the dark as Denji is and that doesn't make for the best storytelling in a weekly/bi-weekly manga.
