Why has Witch watch left zero impression on Anon Babble? Is it because of the hatlessness?
Why has Witch watch left zero impression on Anon Babble? Is it because of the hatlessness?
I like it. It's cute.
Yes.
A witch with no hat is no witch to me
I liked the first episode but I don’t know I can handle 26 episodes this feels like a 12 episode show
manga is boring
It’s because anyone who would have loved the anime was already turned off hard by part 2 of the manga.
Shame. If Nico had a big witch hat she'd easily be the best girl of the season.
Ditto
What's this about though?
I'm too old for dragged out romance
Im watching it for the hope Nico lolibaba teacher gets animated someday
Nico loses most of her magic and turns into a kid, the manga turns into all the boys behaving like her surrogate parents and taking care of her, and the weekly shenanigans that come up with magic reappearing. Nothing happens.
wtf it's 26 episodes?
YOASOBI
and this runs in jump?
I like Nico's voice.
Total Jumpshit genocide
Agreed. I wouldn't have agreed 5 years ago, let alone 10. I still had hope then
It's low effort
Yes
I'll still watch but yeah that does sound pretty shit
I heard somewhere that it's because the author had a kid. If true this kind of thing seems to derail creative output a lot, same happened to Vinland Saga guy. He turned into kind of a sissy to be honest. Too bad.
explain why she wears a slave collar
there are many witchis this season
and all are dum. DUM
Agreed, her voice is adorable. Apparently she's Ai from Dark Gathering too.
That’s what happens when you have prior success. No one vets the quality of your new works. Look at boichi’s new manga for further proof.

It makes it twice as weird because Morihito is basically his self insert, sharing his extremely niche hobbies and interests that he spends entire chapters sperging about to the audience. So Moi’s love interest suddenly becoming a representation of Shinohara’s kid right after they start to fall in love is just fucking creepy.
the story got too stupid for it to be worth spending time on
It's rough not knowing whether he'll break this weird phase and get back to business or stay in it until the momentum grinds down to nothing.
It doesn’t matter if he breaks out of it. The damage is done. It’s now canon that Morihito raised his would-be girlfriend from the age of four. If they get together after this, it’s worse. The “best” ending would be a nothing ending where the story ends before there’s any resolution to their previous romantic attraction.
It surprised me when I heard Nico spoke on third person. Has it always been like that in the manga?
all the boys behaving like her surrogate parents
Mostly Morihito though as in the love interest, which pretty much kills any romance from part 1 for good.
Nico turning into a loli is amazing though.
That should have been the premise the entire time. It plays off the wacky magic hijinks better too when it comes from a kid casting it.
I knew something was off.
No one is going to stay awake for this one.
It was alright. She'd be cuter with a massive hat though.
Yes, but the official translation is very heavy on the localization, so they never would keep something like that.
For a comedy show, it's not really funny. For me at least; I know it's a matter of preference. I'll watch a couple eps more and see if it'll make me laugh later down the line
I'm expired and bitter
It isn't to late anon, you can still reclaim your soul
You clearly haven’t read the manga. Sure, it sounds better in concept, but the execution on that front is horrible. Half the chapters are rehashes of previous ones with surface level changes. (Nico turned everyone into paper/drawings/Minecraft/sticky wall crawlers/t-shirts, etc. Isn’t that wacky, kids?). The other half of the time, the “magic hijinks” are just window dressing for Morihito and the gang to learn a lesson about raising kids. The chapter where Morihito is stuck copying the student council president ends with him using the spell to help Nico learn how to brush her teeth.
If you didn’t laugh the first time, don’t bother. The variety of jokes in the manga is very small.
WSJ titles all have a certain WSJness to them that I can't quite place but I always end up noticing it and dropping them thusly
