Ooh really neat episode, I will be happy if this is how dense things are for the full run. Lots of cute little character animations and effective imagery. Great example of an episodic "villain of the week" storyline that builds out the characters and themes. They answered a lot of the questions about what the fuck even is the state of the setting neatly to feed into the tension. The entire scene of Machu at home is great and I love the entire comparison of mothers, career survey, and again the jellyfish/ocean motif. You can definitely see where they economize with some still shots during conversations and the like but I never felt it was distracting and it wasn't long before the next bit of Machu fanservice.

Chadia Bull is going to liberate newtypes in Char's timeline, no more turning the next evolution of empaths into killers. Machu is meant to be a cute jellyfish drifting in the Earth's sea in communion with the primordial source of life.
