An anon said this was going to be a good episode and he was right. Such a sweet thing I got to watch.

It was lovely seeing the how far they've come. Haruharu still feels like the smartest lead cure, while Kirara has become quite approachable and Minamin has loosened up quite a bit. Still not much Yui time, but she was there to help the lunch lady in the end.

Hope they release an artbook with the acrylic stand costumes throughout the years someday. It's hard to find good reference pictures.

I'm going to start with the Towa thing this episode opens on. I've known the spoiler for a while, but I believe I know the feeling when something like this is sprung on us; it happens often enough in Kamen Rider at least. I don't really care for it, but at the same time its either sprung, or telegraphed twenty episodes earlier to the point I'm yelling "GET ON WITH IT" like some sort of Monty Python skit. I wish Toei could learn to be a little more subtle about it, without the whole sprung happening. I don't know what it was like back in 2015, but that's just my feelings.

I complain about subtly and maybe Minamin's giggles have been too subtle for me to catch. But I am glad they are here, the giggles were cute.

I hope PuriMero will have some chemistry together, unlike KiraPika.

I forgot to do a screen grab of the girls complimenting Kirara for becoming approachable. I don't really agree with that as Kirara's approachability hinged on her slowing down her after-school jobs. She got to a point she was pestering Minamin and Haruharu during ballet practice.

Also this Vice President(?) was pretty adorable.

Haruka has obviously grown a lot picking up three talents, and to even make it into the school she's had some of the best grades of any Lead cure. Even her team mates who've practiced these things long before Haruka are a little flabbergasted by her growth. I could honestly see Kirara or Minami getting a little jealous of her later. Towa technically is now, but dark princess and all.

Overall very comforting episode. The lessons learned were pretty inarguable and pleasant to watch. Also I didn't take any screens of the dorm matron, but I see now why they all think she is a ninja. She just appears out of nowhere; I'd laugh if she popped up mid battle to tell Shut or the shota off.

It is, though. The school Haruka attends is one of, if not the best, in their world. To get in you have to be the top student at your regular school and then pass a series of exams and tests. Once she's in, she starts to completely BTFO everyone, slowly but surely. She gets personal training from the sex cat too.
But don’t get me wrong, Hana is probably my second favorite Cure, but the GoPris are easily the smartest Cures overall.

I don't know about that, Itsuki and Yuri are definitely smart, but they are just attending a regular private school, the GoPris are attending super exclusive private school, the one that you need connections, or in Haruka's case, be extremely smart to get an invite.

I don't hate her. I just enjoy roasting her. Her post story life is alright, but a lot the main story has her struggling to deal with being nothing special. What was it? Episode 13 where she failed to stop the monster because she felt she had nothing special to offer and therefore was useless? That episode and the one after are super powerful for her character growth. While I do make fun of her it is meant more of a joshing manor.

Even without the timeskip, Hikaru was clearly smart, just lacking in common sense. And Uni wasn't dumb at all.

It seems like it'll be a relatively calm episode compared to last week (and whatever's coming next week), but it should be fun regardless.
I don't think there's quite been an episode that really focused hard on the VotW. Maybe this will be the first one? I'd say that Kimi to Idol doesn't treat its VotW too badly as most of them at least get a scene to flesh them out a little, and some have been outright recurring characters. It's just that most of the episodes so far have been more concerned about fleshing out one of the Cures or a major side character (like Kaito or Tanaka) rather than the victim of the week.
