There wasnt much to Mikuru because most of her screentime was the adult version of the normal one, but I still wanted to have sex with her and suck on her tits

The only one that was drastically different was Yuki, which is understandable as she completely upended the world so she could be a real human bean. I always felt for her, and after endless eight, that single line where kyon said "she must be tired" really struck me. As much as she was an alien robot autismo, there were very clearly things she enjoyed, even all the way back to s1. She had the hardest time of anyone having to suffer through nearly 600 years of haruhi's endless summer break, and no doubt she had some fun along the way, finding new bugs and wearing funny masks, it must have been exhausting. Ontop of everything else she endured, I really understand her want to be normal. But, it was a decision that basically amounted to suicide as the her that wasnt her wasn't actually her. So it was sort of a cry for help by letting kyon be the one that ultimately made that decision. I dont want to attribute human characteristics to her directly, as that's a silly task, but there's a condition some people have called alexithymia, which is where someone is unable to understand their own emotions. That is probably the closest thing to what Nagato was going through, and in the end she was probably asking herself the same question that kyon had to. Is the world with haruhi at the core a fun world? But she trusted kyon with the answer to that question more than herself. It was a really brilliant set up and execution. The movie works so well because we got to see endless eight and feel the weight of everything she goes through. Try as the rest of them might, at the end of the day they fell back on her "magic" more than anything else to deal with the haruhi shenanigans
