What is Urobuchi's magnum opus?
What is Urobuchi's magnum opus?
For me, it's all of them.
if only that last arc wasn't so out of place and goofy, I could genuinely say this
the villain sucks
I love Iskandar so much, Zero
Saya no Uta
Generic moe horror slop
Fate/Zero
Butcher characters with retarded Urobuchi's philosophy
Madoka
It's okay
Psycho-Pass
haha
Thunderbolt Fantasy is his best work.
what's wrong with psycho pass
Gaim or Thunderbolt Fantasy
All of the 4 you post suck balls
All of the 4 you post suck balls
why?
Saya no Uta is. It does the most in the shortest time, has the most profound subject matter, which is what it is to fall from grace. Fate zero and madoka are pretty good, but I liked Phantom more personally because of how cool the poignant approach to it was. The church music stuff and all that.
Because I'm biased
But honestly I don't like any of them. Madoka is fine I guess but I hate movie 3
Madoka Magica is chronically underrated because Rebellion accidentally contains within it the genuine gospel and the actual truth.
And therefore many people hate it in the same way that people hated Christ.
Because of this Madoka Magica is chronically underrated, no one understands it; and the Godless rage against it and try to keep down the truth by their unrighteousness.
However, this makes it undisputable which one his greatest work is.
All the other works merely exist in order to prepare for Madoka:
Saya no Uta showed that love transcends the form of existence.
Fate/Zero shows that without love I am nothing.
Psychopass shows that people are incapable of love.
Madoka Magica is the solution; it is the answer.
You do not understand.
saya just because it doesn't linger longer than it should and is concise to it's concept
all his other works have great concepts but all suffer from "hey, let's just keep going" syndrome
the more I go through his stuff the less I like his writing to be honest
Gaim
Ending ruins the whole show. Worthless.
saya
Madoka and Saya no Uta, Fate was allways shit and Psycho -pass is ok and nothing else.
Fate was allways shit
why?
Imagine not posting his magnum opus
Those are all better than psycho pass. you have shit taste
never watched an Urobuchi show, which one should I start with?
just watch any of them. they're all self-contained stories
Rakuen Tsuihou
fucking fag- BASED
TBF mogs all his other works so hard it's not even a fair comparison.
After that, probably Madoka but only the first season.
It's clear as the LAND IS CLOAKED IN DEEPEST BLUE
Kikokugai
This is now a puppet thread
is it all stop motion or a mix between that and puppets being moved in real time?
Thunderbolt Fantasy clears all of those.
Puppets
The puppets are moved in real time
youtu.be
Ooh I see, thanks anon.
I remember the tweest at the end of S1 where turns out the mc's the strongest person in the cast but that kinda detracted me from watching S2 and beyond. Are the following seasons as good?
They're moved in real time, not always gently though.
I thought it was stop motion from the few webms I have seen every now and then because the motions looked quite fluid.
but that kinda detracted me from watching S2 and beyond
why? it's been foreshadowed since the beginning
Are the following seasons as good?
Rebellion is kind of a cliffhanger, might as well watch it when the fourth movie comes out
It's a mix puppeteers, CGI and heavy edits/cuts during fights
Meguca no doubt, but you can't take away from the sheer soul he put into Thunderbolt Fantasy as a passion project. Ironically it seems both of these may have punted their movie finales but that remains to be seen.
Haven't touched anything except Madoka, Fate/Zero, and Psycho Pass
Think Madoka (the TV show) is the best
Where do I go from here?
Saya no Uta and Kikokugai
Madoka
Its Suisei no Gargantia. Thats when he matured as a writer out of his awkward edgy phase.
only wrote two episodes
I thought saya no uta was uchikoshi
