I have a gut feeling that this is the main highlight of the whole show, and it's all down hill from here.

I like it, if you don't mind a show retconning things as it goes, then I recommend it.

Poseidon arc is meh but Asgard is kino, Hades is the true highlight of the whole show.

Reminder that most if not all the inconsistencies in the original anime came from Toei picking the manga after one volume so they improvised a lot.

Hades arc is pretty cool, poseidon is skippable thoughbeit

Poseidon is underrated. For me it's refreshing to the see the bronze saints kicking ass for once and it's short so it never drag

It feels too much like sanctuary but inferior, that's why people tend to not like it a lot

since the sanctuary, kurumada tired to add a twist so it doesn't feel repetitive even though all conflict and resolution was always the same, sanctuary was heading up to the last temple, in poseidon it was a megaman formula but in hades, it was more of a battle royale

Next arc is asgard, the single best filler arc in anime, period.
Then you got poseidon, which is lackluster compared to sanctuary but still climatic and interesting. I'd rec you to watch both, there's worst anime to watch with the time. You can skip the hades if you want, though cool it is a joke in comparison to the 80s anime.

I think it'd be better received if the beginning followed the manga with the gold saints doing their job for once and leaving the clues that this was preparing the way for something bigger. Also the scales need to be blue like Kurumada originally envisioned. I know the CG show is deader than Ikki but I wish it continue only to see the scales blue

Music is still top tier. So, keep watching. Even if asgard or poseidon are lackluster they don't have the catastrophic filler of the first part and it ends relatively quickly.

Omega's sanctuary arc is FAR BETTER than any other SS series

Toei will lick its wounds for a couple of years after the live action fiasco so that mean no more SS animated projects for a while. Personally I'd love a Rerise of Poseidon adaptation considering how Soul of Gold rehabilitated the God Warriors's image with the Japanese fandom. A Rerise anime could do the same with the marines with the international fandom

I love when Ikki became self-concious and decide to go directly to Poseidon. Too bad he was stopped by Kanon

Hope we finally see how Seiya's fight with Apollo ends this time.

I just hope Kurumada doesn't die yet. He evaded public appearances for decades but now he's assisting events like saying farewell. Despite all the hate he gets, I don't want another Berserk situation.
