The pacing is very fast. You should first finish the anime and read the manga later because they adapt like one volume per episode.
The reason for why it's not always noticeable is because Kowloon is a drama that mostly focuses on the city and the character's life so the central plot itself moves rather slowly.

I think Kudo is more handsome. Snakeman here has better drip though.

The men that mangaka is drawing are generally are pretty good IMO. I think Gwen and the 40 year old dude from After the Rain were also high tier.

It's strange that this isn't localized in my country yet. They usually grab everything that gets an anime and half of the manga we have are yaoi or series with gay content somewhere so would expect them to license this. All that aside the art style is pretty as fuck too.
