SoL fans are patient. They literally read shit with no action. A hiatus isn't going to shake the readership.
Meanwhile battle shounen fans are adhd zoomers. They require a constant stream of fighting and powerups to feel anything and the moment a series takes a break they forget it and look for their next hit elsewhere.
The magazines realize this and thus are obliged to run battle shounen mangaka ragged to keep the slop flowing.
