People are built different. Its about how strong ones metabolism and appetite are. I went to fat camps as a kid. Sometimes super skinny kids would go because it was technically a nutritional camp. And that guy managed to put on weight through some other program. But yeah shits real. He would eat like 6 times what fatties eat but it barely went on to him. He had to take medicine to induce appetite and shit.

While this is true, alot of the time very very overweight people use it as an excuse to justify their pig-like behavior and eating habits, which is silly and not healthy.

Fwiw there are a lot of medical issues, especially in women, that can make not being fat nearly impossible. Hormonal stuff like PCOS, thyroid dysfunction, lymphatic issues (not fat, but the fluid drainage sure looks like it), etc. That's no excuse for being a 400lb deathfat, but I've known some women that couldn't lose a pound even if they starved themselves to the hospital.
