Sayaka should be going out with me

Hitomi displayed zero interest in this dude until he got healed. Then she swoops in and steals him, even though she knows Sayaka was into him. She's a gold digger who was after his money.
Kyousuke should have made his feelings clear in the hospital. "Men who can't confess in person are worthless." He was wasting Sayaka's time (and money because she was buying the CDs).
Sayaka is a good girl who deserves better friends and a better BF (like me).

Obviously Sayaka for not confessing because she was obsessed with muh existential shit. Hitomi gave her enough time to confess and Kyosuke was unaware of her feelings and busy due to getting out of the hospital.
Sayaka acknowledges this herself by saying she was stupid.

Sayaka for being a self centered bitch.

Modern dating is a humiliation ritual for men, if Kyosuke made the first step while Sayaka saw him as just a friend he would have been called a rapist.

When I first saw the series I didn't like Sayaka that much, but after spending 3 years in college I understand what she went through.

Both of the girls
They wasted their time chasing after a self centered self absorbed trash who doesn't give a dam about them.

Pretty sure the show implied Kyosuke would have rejected Sayaka anyway.

In every spinoff where she does confess, he accepts.

Spin-off

canon

Canoncally Kyosuke is destined to be a very bad boyfriend.

PMMM will never be for you

Sorry But I don't hate man, I hate Kyosuke.

Canoncally Kyosuke is destined to be a very bad boyfriend

Proof?

Sorry But I don't hate man (sic), I hate Kyosuke

You bring up man hater talking points. "That boy who was literally crippled for life at the hospital was... le self centered and self absorbed!"
Yeah, sorry he was thinking about himself when he was in that situation while Sayaka was just fine.
I don't even need to ask to know which grounp of Madoka "fan" you belong to.

Hitomi.

I mean, what kinda slut confesses to guys? He's not going to value her at all, she made herself too easy.

Sayaka for not learning to play the piano with all that time

Weirdly defensive

Proof -

Megami July 2011 issue specifies that Kyosuke never considered Sayaka as his lover and never saw a potential in her being his lover but only a close friend.

In Dengeki G April 2012 issue, Eri Kitamura, Sayaka's voice actress explains that even if Sayaka started dating Kyosuke, it wouldn't necessarily be true happiness for Sayaka.

Gen Urobuchi's comment on Kyosuke in Guidebook:

I just do not feel that even if she hooked up with Kyosuke that girl would really be happy ever after. Most likely Kyosuke is a guy who will stand her up in dates and go to practice the violin.

Kyosuke, a man who could not notice that "Hm? this girl seems to have some feeling for me..." even after so much self-sacrifice from her is simply no good.

Those quotes were said in the context of Sayaka being a cuck, basically trying to tone down her misery by saying maybe she didn't miss out on much. That's because a lot of the staff likes her.

It's congruent with what we see in Rebellion.

I hope the next movie reveals Sayaka completely grown over Kyosuke while Hitomi dumped him for being a garbage boyfriend after realizing she deserves better.

All we see in Rebellion is that he’s busy compared to Hitomi who has a lot of free time. Ironically Sayaka wouldn’t have this problem as much because of her meguca duties.

I’ll bite.
Who do you think Sayaka’s boyfriend should be then? And Hitomi’s?

Kyosuke never considered Sayaka as his lover and never saw a potential in her being his lover but only a close friend.

I just do not feel that even if she hooked up with Kyosuke that girl would really be happy ever after

Kyousuke is really something. He was a better character than i thought.

Girl visits you every day, tries to console you at your worst moment, is there for you when you're healed, holds a little party with your closest friends and family so you can play you precious violin in front of everyone you love.

Don't even bother to tell her when you leave the hospital so she shows up to an empty hospital room

What an asshole.
He doesn't owe Sayaka a date, but he could have at least thanked her to told her he was about to leave the hospital after everyone she has done for him.

Don’t forget that he said that in the context of trying to tone down Sayaka’s suffering. It’s not meant to say Sayaka would be unhappy with Kyosuke, just that she didn’t miss out on a perfect situation either.

He did thank her, and when he left he probably had other things to do like be with his family and stuff

And he did not say anything to her at school was also because he was so occupied as there were so many girls who greeted him before then.

Kyousuke was not a bad guy, he was just too busy greeting other girls. Besides that, he had a passion at early age, he was focused on that. Is not his fault sayaka or hitomi tried to distract him. Poor guy.

Don’t forget that he said that in the context of trying to tone down Sayaka’s suffering.

The only way you can be certain that they tried to "tone down" her suffering is reading their minds.

madoka_84.png - 570x350, 222.39K

Look at the full context of the quote. It’s literally "booo poor Sayaka, but then again…"

Wait, you're right he did thank her probably during the rooftop concert.
Sayaka saw him nearly daily. I doubt he had no time or proper method to notify her he was leaving.
When he returned to school it's almost looked like he ignored her.

Canoncally Kyosuke is destined to be a very bad boyfriend.

In the Rebellion Movie Hitomi also cries how Kyousuke never has time for her because of his violin. Him becoming a bad boyfriend sounds pretty in-character.

I doubt he had no time or proper method to notify her he was leaving

He was probably gonna do so later but she found out before.

When he returned to school it's almost looked like he ignored her

Not really, there were just a lot of people around him.

In the Rebellion Movie Hitomi also cries how Kyousuke never has time for her because of his violin

See I'm 100% sure all the seethe about Kyosuke wouldn't exist if the genders were reversed. It's literally always the man hating tumblr crowd. Which is why they never answer this

You are telling me that you can read their intentions behind every statement they say. Even urobuchi said he bullied Sayaka a bit too. It could be taken with different interpretations.

madoka_49.jpg - 600x854, 67.36K

Despite me ranting so much about Kyousuke, I don't think he is a bad person.
He is just a teen boy who doesn't know how to properly treat girls yet and leaves a lot of broken hearts.
But Sayaka is one of the main characters. We see her passion, her emotions, her hardships so it's easy to sympathize with her and get angry at Kyousuke for making her sad.

We don't see a lot about Kyousuke, and what we see of him doesn't do him any favor. Maybe he did have a proper reason, but all the anime shows is Kyousuke not talking to Sayaka after returning to school and not even notifying her when he left hospital. And based on those scenes, I see him as a a rather dense and even a cold boy.

Same with Hitomi but I'm more lenient with her since at least she gave Sayaka a proper warning and enough time to make a move. She tried her best trying to handle an awkward situation as best as possible.

Again, the context is right there. You don't have to read their minds.

But Sayaka is one of the main characters. We see her passion, her emotions, her hardships so it's easy to sympathize with her and get angry at Kyousuke for making her sad.

But we can also see that it's just her fault. She had an occasion to confess, and Kyosuke most likely would have accepted.

and Kyosuke most likely would have accepted.

I got the impression that he only saw Sayaka as a friend at best. He appreciated her help, but didn't have any romantic feelings for her. If she confessed he would have probably politely rejected her.
Hitomi however is a girl who is popular among a lot of boys at school. Every boy would dream to get a chance of dating her so of course he would accept her confession.

Yeah, the context is that they were laughing a lot. I read a lot of lols . The didn't seem in the mood "poor sayaka". But again if you want to interpret it that way, go for it.

madoka_9.png - 569x440, 214.15K

I doubt that considering his reaction at the end when he feels Sayaka's presence.
If he was the one to confess and Sayaka didn't see it that way, he would have gotten called an abusive rapist hitting on his childhood friend. He had no choice but to wait for Sayaka to make her move.
If the roles were reversed you would be first to say Sayaka wasn't entitled to Kyosuke's love or attention.

They were talking about Sayaka's deplorable situation.

Sayaka and Hitomi have too much of a romantic vision of Kyousuke. He is something like the school prince as a gifted child and talented violin player, but that also means he's very focused on his violin, more than anything else including his potential girlfriend.

I can't think of any other named male character in the anime. Tatsuya? I don't think Sayaka or Hitomi are shotacon.

So you think they should just introduce new male characters for the occasion?

Dismisses the laughs in the translations

Just think what you want dude, this doesn't seem to lead to anything interesting. You can't change the mind of someone so different to you, especially if he is a dark spic.
Also:

If he was the one to confess and Sayaka didn't see it that way, he would have gotten called an abusive rapist hitting on his childhood friend. He had no choice but to wait for Sayaka to make her move.

Every guy will be treated as as rapist if his feelings are unrequited

It was not for me, but if you think like, it tells me alot.

madoka_103.jpg - 600x600, 87.93K

The laughs are irrelevant to what they were talking about.

Every guy will be treated as as rapist if his feelings are unrequited

If Sayaka makes a twitter thread about it, yes, absolutely.

I would like to see that. But I'm probably the minority in that case.

The charm of magical girls is how it combines the more relatable slice of life with the magical double life if the girls. It shows that despite all the magic going on, the girls are still just normal teen girls, having friends, falling in love, getting heartbreaks.
People like to call Madoka Magica a deconstruction of the magical girl genre, but I think it's still a very traditional magical girl but with some darker themes and Sayaka's arc demonstrates that the best.

Showing some more civilian characters like male classmates would help expand upon the main cast normal school life and maybe somehow integrate that into the magical part of the story.
It doesn't even have to be a love interest. Maybe family, a teacher, or just a classmate.
But I'm afraid with the fandom it has cultivated, bringing more male character into Madoka Magica would probably cause an outrage.

The laughs are irrelevant to what they were talking about.

Then they were laughing because that's how japanese people normally behave? is nothing special? LOL

If Sayaka makes a twitter thread about it, yes, absolutely.

Well she was blue haired, last time i tried with a blue haired girl i was treated worst than a rapist so you could be right...

But I'm afraid with the fandom it has cultivated, bringing more male character into Madoka Magica would probably cause an outrage

What? The target audience and actual fanbase of Madoka has no problem with male characters. Only the yuri trannies that latch onto the western fanbase would seethe, and the team probably doesn't even know those exist.

Then they were laughing because that's how japanese people normally behave?

They were taking it lightly and making fun of it but they were still talking about Sayaka's despair.

Well she was blue haired, last time i tried with a blue haired girl i was treated worst than a rapist so you could be right...

Modern dating is a humiliation ritual for men. I can't blame Kyosuke for not confessing. Chances are he would have lost his childhood friend if he did so.

They were taking it lightly and making fun of it but they were still talking about Sayaka's despair.

And here we go again... so basically this is becoming saying the same but with different sentences. This will not lead to anything interesting. I don't to want to repeat myself.

Modern dating is a humiliation ritual for men.

Not for chad, exceptions exist. Anyway you are talking like this, poor anon. What led you to think like this. I was treated like that because i'm something that your eyes are not prepared to see, very hideous. But you don't seem like one, you should be more positive.

so basically this is becoming saying the same but with different sentences

Because you haven't contradicted me. You simply added more (irrelevant) information.

What led you to think like this

All modern men know this.
