Holy fuck was this incredible. I've never seen anything based off a work of Aoyama, nor have I read any of his stuff, so I was as blind as one could be and I loved this to bits. I'm not sure how it is as an adaptation, especially since there's the 1994 series to compare it to, but just for what it was, it was incredible. Insane direction and animation paired with really fun characters and great voice work. Seeing a showa era story paired with one of the best reiwa era animation studios is a goddamn treat. This season is off to a good start.
