The first thing is that when people discuss something they tend to generalize, because you can't/ it's really hard to get your point across while not doing so.
I don't know, when those people see Dead Tube or Everyone's Toy they just say
Wow, this is sick shit lol, who wrote this edgy garbage?
And that's it, they don't go on a tirade about muh men this men that muh men. It seems very easy to do this to me.
has an overwhelmingly female audience probably.
I read some stats and many of them have like over 90% male readers. In particular, Nisekoi was one of the few romance titles in Jump at the time and apparently the least popular with its female readers with only 15% reading it, and that was in a magazine with 53% female readers at the time.
You don't actually think there are many foids interested in watching these ultra plain males be lusted after by hot girls for no reason right? The issue is that these titles are barely romance stories to begin with. Someone here once called it “waifu buffet” to distinguish it from actual harem and romance and that's what's going on. There is no real romance in the plot most of the time, it's just cute girls acting flirty with an unbelievably plain loser without any of the normal plot developments and scenes that are common to romance titles.
