Even with the refugees, altchans were still fairly dead. Moe Anon Babble would be a bit better with more traffic but if refugees didn’t help, nothing will. Altchans simply don't have enough traffic, I'd consider this place just below the minimum viable community necessary to be a standalone website. Under this minimum, users would rather be consolidated into larger hobby discords, subreddits or facebook groups, which is why most forums are now ghosttowns. Now that this place has lost its niche for slur-slinging to Twitter, it's only a matter of time before user bleed turns this place as slow and dead as altchans.
