My two cents about GT. It's a show with generally good ideas but less than stellar execution. The first arc being Dragon Ball in space is okay, nothing offensively bad.
Baby's arc is by far the best one of the show, with the best villain and the SSJ4 being a cool transformation (and imo better than the recolors from Super). However, I hated Piccolo was killed off and written off from the story without the chance to have a fight himself, only serving as a support for the entire thing.
Super 17 arc is when things start to get wonky. The concept of previous villains returning to get revenge on Goku and his friends is nice and a TV show allows it to be expanded compared with the Janemba movie thanks to the format, but most of the previous villains are defeated off-camera, Cell and Frieza are turned into mega clowns and Super 17 feels like a pretty boring main villain (and I don't like it robbed original 17 from his happy ending, that's a thing Super did better). On the bright side, I liked the focus 18 got and Krillin's death was genuinely sad despite being his fourth death in the previous continuity.
The Dark Dragon arc is wasted potential the arc. Very original concept, but devolves into a monster of the week show until the mole dragon appears and except the 4 star dragon most of the antagonists here have less charisma than Zarbon and Dodoria. The final fight is all right.
The ending I think it's good and a bittersweet way to conclude the series. While I don't mind Super I think as far as an ending to the franchise goes, GT did it well despite its many flaws. It just needed to polish its ideas better.

It's not necessary but it's something every other series in the franchise has. To get immersed in the world the world needs to feel alive. GT just didn't feel alive. It was rushed to shit and wasn't given room to breathe

The filler episodes have always been peaks of the series because we like the characters. The Maron Krillin episodes, The Super baseball (starring Yamcha), the one Super episode centered around the wish, and others. They are all standout episodes that are fun to watch from time to time. Notice how GT has squat despite being the "awesome adobenchia" series.
