Why doesn't band anime go into territories like hardcore, punk, or metal?
Why doesn't band anime go into territories like hardcore, punk, or metal?
hardcore
Not everyone is 12
punk
Not everyone is 16
metal
Not everyone is 14
Because most people don't like that sort of music
And anime is made to be appealing to as many people as possible
They have before. It's just not popular right now.
Anime fans are either teenagers or adults who haven't mentally grown since middle school.
I like Inky Impulse.

No it's not meant to appeal to as many people as possible.
If it was then anime would go the Hollywood path of making everything appealing to chinese viewers, exclusively doing nostalgiabait remakes of old movies, and shoehorning unrelated celebrities into actor roles.
anon...
TogeToge is pretty punk
Kumiko's band was metal as fuck, it was survival of the strongest
I love power metal, and a lot of jpop anime bands seem to take inspiration from it. But they all sound really bland, and I don't care for their actual power metal bands either. Even spics have better PM bands.
they're just not brutal enough
punk
at the same level of Metal
Found the Anon Babble tribalfag
like hardcore, punk, or metal
because those are just noise, not music
Pantera isn't "just noise"
Did you watch kimi no iro?
They are. The show is. But their sound is not.
they just haven't done enough drugs. I don't think they can get there on liquor alone
Pantera is basic bitch normie shit
A full moon's out tonight, and your thoughts have summoned me from Hell.
Go to DMC! Go to DMC! Go to DMC!
There was DMC
noise is actually very relevant in japanese subculture
basically every micro-genre you can think of has it's own scene in japan : screamo, zeuhl, footwork...
Cause it's shit music. Next question.
This thread is now dedicated to the glory of Krauser-sama.

Aggretsuko would have been actually watchable if Retsuko's vocalist was also a woman. When she started screaming in the karaoke booth and it was clearly a male vocalist I dropped the show immediately.
That said, a Metalocalypse-esque anime would absolutely work but Japan is too PUSSY to try it.
It's "Krauser-san" you phony.
12 year olds, 16 year olds, and 14 year olds have better taste in music than adults.
Growing up really does suck.
This, but Dismember
I don't know.
They could go full chuuni like Yousei Teikoku or My Chemical Romance.

Gonna need albums to be released alongside the seasons like with Metalocalypse. Grabbing the Dethalbums and hearing the difference when they actually have the time to perfect the songs was great.
Watch Ave Mujica
Needed more performances, desu.
Hope S3 fixes this, if nothing else. AM's music is easily the best of all the Bandoris.
Zombieland Saga (only in the 1st episode).
And also THIS:
May Krauser-sama rape you to death
Japanese can't into swing, they lack the soul
I did, it was shit.
punk music is for yuri romance webmanga (it's getting an adaptation though, right?)
Would be too much, the girls have to stay cute and childish otherwise otaku would be scared of them. Pop and teen rock is the typical genre everybody associates with girls and the shit fangirls also like.
black heaven
Men hating lesbian punk girls are meant to be raped by the Krauser-san!
Momoka isn't cute or childish
Dessmetal
youtu.be
DMC is the only good bandgirl anime.
Last season's band anime literally had a mentally ill psycho lesbian niece fucker
Ave Mujica already has probably the hardest music in the bandgirl space and we'll see some trve cvlt shit when the next season takes them to scandinavia
Dunno, to me GBC felt way more like a seishun series with some “punk" elements than a full-on punk series.
I hope so too, especially now that Sakiko is using all of her powerlevel.
Eternally grateful that metal gatekeeps itself.
Not really a fan of J-metal though
Everything on this show felt like forced drama, mild ass teenager angst
Even CSM is better in that regard
this is as angry as I can be
2deep4u
A lot of jpop and even jrock musicians are frustrated prog/metal guys. Not the main faces themselves, but the backing bands. That's why sometimes j music has that metally hint to it. And in game osts it happens all the time, like you can tell Nobuo Uematsu wishes he was playing in an Emerson Lake & Palmer type band instead.
Anime fans barely have any taste in anime, I cant imagine them having much of a taste in music.
They should make an anime about shoegaze.
shoegaze
Japanese emo.
Forgot pic
And a post-rock one too.
If Futsu no Keionbu gets an anime it has some japanese punk.
how the flying piece of smelly fuck would that be the case in more heavy rock songs being featured in girls band anime????
