Yeah, at the risk of sounding like Mr. Enter, it just felt fucking mean. Like I know it's a dark comedy but the whole thing is so depressing.
These girls were raised way outside of society to become murder machines, with Satoko not even knowing what a cellphone was. Then they're casually killed off at a young age and don't even get a fucking burial. Literally just blown away in the wind as if they never even existed. They never had a chance to live a normal life or reach their full potential.
Especially disheartening since the premise of "a colorful cast of cute ninja girls mostly oblivious to the outside world." reminds me of Kunoichi Tsubaki. Like the blonde ninja here would fit right in as one of the older students.

This is the entire appeal. We've had completely moral shows and series for too long. The only times we got immoral stuff was when the mind behind it was a schizoid who thought their stories were moral. It is a nice release to have something free of moralfaggotry that isn't trying to send a message through its brutality. Shaft is also the perfect studio to do it as they have a past with pushing the boundaries and making unorthodox stuff. This also acts as a nice return to form for them and will help springboard the industry forward as a whole (but definitely Shaft). Not only is it enjoyable to watch, but it is a big win for creativity after years of millshit. I'm happy with the direction things have been going recently.
Can't wait for the reaction when we get to this chapter.
