GSC US stopped adding preorders, will only take in-stock orders, and will possibly increase the prices of current preorders once Trumpriffs get finalized, even the POs that were made before they hiked up their prices.

GSC global is not accepting any orders for US customers.

HLJ has suspended all shipping methods except for EMS.

Currently, Japan will still have the De Minimis rule, so as long as your order is under $800 you will not be taxed. De Minimis is to be removed for only China/HK on May 2. So I don't know why the shops are freaking out, they just have to declare their shit as from Japan when shipping out to customers, and US shops can raise their prices to account for their business tariffs like GSC US was already doing.

They said that in an initial email, then they sent out another one maybe a week later going back on it. I've seen some items change prices three times, and that's not even the final price since the tariffs aren't included in. They also already charge borderline scalper prices on import items anyway. I get that they sort of have increase prices a little, but they and some other domestic shops charge prices as if the dollar to yen is and always has been a 1:100 ratio. So they already over charge what you are probably paying for imports, then they add a little more, now they want to add a literal "x" variable from the tariffs that's going to boil down to "we're just going to make up a random dollar value to add to the total later."

I guess the only good thing is that they're going to allow you to cancel the item with no questions asked. I can't imagine anyone is going to want to pay like, $500 for a previously $150 anime figure, though.
